Most of faculty are awesome and the curriculum is good but it's hectic sometimes . because sometimes it's become hard to manage the extra curricular with academic due to tight academic schedule specifically lab schedule

I chose this course as I was interested in the subject and wanted to pursue research. By having an integrated degree I was saving time on my masters and making great connections among top scientific minds of the country. The faculty is great and include few of the most respected people of their fields. They teach very well and are available to clear doubts in their office hour. They are also willing to help one with extra studies or internships and reading projects, either by offering their own guidance or by providing references. The term exams happen twice a semester, for the Mid semester and the End semester. They happen at almost the same time every year and are moderately difficult. There is relative grading and the questions require higher order thinking.

The course is hectic for the 1st year but in upcoming years it becomes a little bit easier. Most of the professors are phd holders and they have done their post-doctrate from prestigious institutes. On avg the duration of lectures is 5 hours/ day.

All the contents of the courses provided here are research-based. You always will be in the loop of what's going on in the scientific world. Institutions have great policies and provide many scholarships for eligible and needy students, like there are no tuition fees for SC/ST category students.

Every professor is nice and well qualified as most of them have done their phd from foreign. Also they taught every concept very crystal clear. According to our course curriculum there is mid and end term exam in a semester which in last make the overall gpa. Also most of student in iiser have scholarship so most of them have pay only 1 sem in year not of both 2 semester.

I chose this course because I am interested in research. At first, I was mainly interested in biology and now it shifted to climate sciences which comes under the Earth and Climate Sciences department in IISERP. Faculties are well qualified. All of them have a PhD and at least 2 years of postdoc but many of them aren't good at teaching. The course curriculums are designed in a really good way, especially for Biology and ECS. A semester is 4 months long and two sem exams and quizzes occur in between making the academic life a bit hectic. We get 3 months of summer break and this time is given so that students can do summer internships. The fee has increased but not very much for the past few years for BSMS.
