Paper Length and Current Practice

The paper uses 120 numbered objective questions. PDF page count is not question count: covers, notices, answer tables and rough-work pages can increase the file length. Keep the paper's instructions with the questions when making a timed attempt.

The current 2027 pattern gives two hours for 120 MCQs. A full attempt should include passage reading and recording responses; timing only the short questions after reading every passage in advance understates the task. The exam-pattern guide explains the complete marking rule.

Match the Answer Key to the Booklet

Match the question text and booklet code before using an answer letter. The same number can refer to a different question in another set.

Calculate the score with the final key for the same examination year. A withdrawn question or an accepted alternative can change the result; an earlier provisional key may therefore give a different total.

Review a Practice Attempt

For an ordinary objective set under the current +1/-0.25 rule, 18 correct, six wrong and six blank answers give 16.5 out of 30. That is the score for a thirty-question set, not a full-paper score or rank. An official withdrawn-question decision is handled using that year's key.

After checking an answer, identify whether the error came from the legal rule, a missed exception, a mistaken reading of the court's reasoning, or matching the wrong question number. A key letter alone does not explain the legal issue.

The original three-question exercise below uses an invented rule, with all information needed in the passage. Submit to see explanations, then retry the incorrect or unanswered items. It tests reading a rule and its exception; it does not reproduce protected paper questions.

Downloads and Format

Are all four sets four different mock tests?+

A booklet set is a version of the same year's examination, not automatically an independent paper. Match questions and set codes before treating another set as fresh practice. Repeated questions should not inflate the amount of unseen material attempted.

How should I review a correct answer I guessed?+

Keep its mark in the score, but review it separately from an answer you could explain. Identify the sentence or legal rule that supports the correct option, then check why your closest alternative fails. If the question turns on an exception, write down the condition that activates it. This separates a reliable answer from a lucky choice without changing the marking scheme.

Should I use an old legal provision exactly as printed?+

For the historical question, preserve the wording and the legal setting described in the passage. Separately revise current law for the upcoming examination. Editing an old question to use a newer statute can change its premise and make its original key inapplicable.

Practice and Scoring

Is the exercise below taken from this past paper?+

No. It is an original exercise about a fictional university rule, written to practise identifying a rule, exception, time trigger and limit on a reviewing body. It is not an official PYQ or legal advice.

Can the practice result estimate my CLAT rank?+

No. It reports correct, wrong and unanswered responses and accuracy for three selected questions. The set does not cover the full syllabus or compare performance with other candidates.

What happens when I retry mistakes?+

The retry contains only the incorrect and unanswered questions from that attempt and uses that smaller denominator. Restart restores the full set. Changing an answer clears the old result so it is not displayed as a score for the revised choices.
