CLAT PG 2027 Result: Scorecard, Tie-Breaking and Counselling

CLAT PG 2027 results have not been declared. The examination is scheduled for 6 December 2026. A result date has not been announced; the Consortium FAQ places counselling in December 2026 / January 2027.

The PG score, rank and LLM admission decision are different stages. Use the PG result for postgraduate admission, and keep an older CLAT scorecard separate from the current cycle.

The counselling window is not a confirmed result day or a list of allotment rounds. A previous cycle's December result cannot be carried forward as a 2027 announcement. The CLAT PG overview has the current application and examination schedule.

Read Marks and Rank Separately

With 80 correct, 25 wrong and 15 unanswered questions, the ordinary +1/-0.25 calculation gives 73.75 out of 120. A final-key change can affect the evaluated score. A score percentage does not by itself establish a rank or a university seat.

The LLB threshold of 50%, or 45% for SC/ST/PwD candidates, is not a CLAT PG passing percentage. A candidate must satisfy degree eligibility as well as the entrance/admission requirements.

CLAT PG Tie-Breaking Order

This order applies when PG candidates have equal marks. The UG rule begins with a legal-aptitude component, but that step is not part of the published PG rule. Do not use a Constitutional Law subsection score as an invented PG tie-breaker.

From Result to Counselling

The current FAQ gives the broad December 2026 / January 2027 counselling window. The detailed sequence below describes the 2026 counselling process; it is a reference for the tasks, not the 2027 fee or round schedule.

Do not confuse an entrance application with counselling registration. Candidates who appear for their LLB examination in 2027 still need passing evidence at admission. Fees, reservation documents and specialisations can differ between NLUs.

Previous-Year Scorecards and Revised Results

The Consortium's Previous Year Score Card facility covers examinations from 2020 onward. It asks for the year and registered mobile number or username, followed by OTP validation. The 2019 instruction is to request the scorecard by email with registered contact details.

An old scorecard is an admission record for its own cycle. A paper archive or an older result notice cannot be treated as a new merit list. For preparation, use past PG papers; for eligibility, use the current degree and category rules.

If a result is revised after a key correction, use the revised candidate record for that year rather than a screenshot saved before the change. A publisher's answer table is not a replacement for the official scorecard.

Score and Admission Questions

Does 50% in LLB mean I need 60 marks in CLAT PG?+

No. LLB marks determine academic eligibility; CLAT PG marks are calculated from the entrance responses. The degree threshold is not a 60/120 entrance qualifying rule.

Will a counselling invitation guarantee an NLU seat?+

No. An invitation allows participation in the process. Allotment depends on merit, preferences, the relevant category and available seats. Admission also requires the university's documents and payment conditions.

Can I use an old CLAT PG result for 2027 counselling?+

An older result belongs to its own admission cycle. Do not substitute it for the CLAT 2027 PG result in the current Consortium process. If a university offers a separate route, its own admission notification must expressly permit that route.

Why can two candidates with the same marks have different ranks?+

The PG tie-breaking order considers higher age and then a computerised draw. Equal raw marks therefore do not require an identical position in the final merit order.
