Assam University announced the revised schedule for PhD Admission 2024. The last date for application was November 19, 2024, which is now extended to December 6, 2024. Candidates can submit their applications online through the University Portal. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the Entrance test and Viva Voce.

The selection of candidates will be based on their performance in Assam University entrance test and interview. NET-qualified candidates will be given preference during the selection process.

Assam University PhD Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have a master's degree or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution in the same and allied subjects with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade.
• Candidates who have completed the M.Phil. or equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution in the same or allied subject with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade are eligible.

Note: A relaxation of 5% marks or its equivalent grade may be allowed for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/PwD/EWS and other category candidates.
