National Institute of Technology Silchar is inviting applications for MBA Admission 2025. Candidates can download the application form through the NIT Silchar official website before March 31, 2025.

The scanned copy of the filled Application Form along with the required documents needs to be uploaded in the admission link provided in the brochure and the same needs to be mailed to the institute in pdf format.

NIT Silchar MBA Eligibility

  • Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA in aggregate or equivalent. A relaxation of 5% marks or 0.5 in CGPA is provided to the candidates belonging to the SC / ST / PwD category.
  • Candidates must have appeared in CAT (in the year 2023 or 2024) or MAT / CMAT (the tests taken between September 2024 to March 2025) with a minimum 50 percentile score are eligible to apply.
  • The students who are appearing in their final year examination may also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they will complete the requirements of a qualifying degree and produce a provisional certificate of completion of the qualifying degree by September 15, 2025, failing which their admission will stand canceled.

NIT Silchar MBA Selection Process

  • After successful submission of the application form, the eligible candidates will be called for a Group Discussion (GD) / Written Ability Test (WAT), and Personal Interview.
  • The selection will be based on academic performance, national-level test scores, personal interviews, and GD / WAT.
  • The weightage of different parameters for the selection in the MBA Program is as follows:

Documents Required for NIT Silchar MBA Admission

The scanned copy of the duly filled application form must be uploaded along with the Self Attested Photocopies of the below-listed documents, candidates must bring all of the original documents for verification at the time of GD and Interview:

  • Marks Sheets and certificates (From class 10th to the qualifying degree).
  • Date of Birth proof
  • CAT / MAT / CMAT rank card with a valid score.
  • Category certificates in the prescribed format (if applicable).
  • The OBC-NCL certificate must be issued on or after August 1, 2024.
  • In case, the final result is awaited, all mark sheets from 1st semester onward of the qualifying degree must be submitted with the application form.
