Eligibility Criteria For PhD Admission

To be eligible for admission the candidates must have:-

  • Candidates must have a Master's degree or equivalent, with at least 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.
  • Candidates who have qualified UGC-NET/CSIR-UGC-NET, SLET, GATE, GPAT, or are Teacher Fellowship-holders, or have passed M.Phil. with UGC-recognized coursework, will be called for interview.
  • Candidates with a valid UGC NET score will be called for an interview on a merit basis.
  • For departments without UGC-NET/CSIR-UGC-NET, candidates who qualified for the university's entrance exam will be called for an interview on a merit basis.

Important Instructions for PhD Admission

  • Candidates who cleared UGC-NET, JRF/GATE/GPAT, or have an M.Phil. will be called for an interview.
  • Candidates scoring 50% on the entrance test will be called for an interview in a 1:5 ratio.
  • Admission based on performance in interview/viva voce before the Departmental Research Committee.
  • The admission process requires login, document upload, and fee payment as per university guidelines.
  • Admission to the hostel is separate, and candidates must register with the Hostel Administration.
