Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has administered the Class 10 Science and Class 12 Typography & Computer Application exams today, February 20. The exams were conducted in one shift from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. The difficulty level of the exam is reported to be moderate by the appearing candidates.  

CBSE CLASS 10, 12 EXAM

This year, around 44 lakh students from 8,000 schools in India and overseas are taking the Class 10 and 12 board exams. Before the exams, CBSE released guidelines focusing on exam ethics, such as dress codes, allowed items, prohibited materials, and punishments for unfair means practices (UFMs).

CBSE Board Exam 2025 Paper Analysis

CBSE successfully conducted the Class 10 Science exam today, February 20, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Students were given an additional 15 minutes before the exam to read the question paper.

Instructions to Candidates on Exam Day

For smooth conduct and to prevent any inconvenience, CBSE has issued significant instructions to students appearing in the exams:

General Guidelines:

  • Students need to read and abide by the instructions noted on their admit cards with care.
  • They also need to read the instructions noted on the question paper and answer booklets prior to attempting the exam.
  • Regular students need to bring along their admit card and school identity card.
  • Private candidates need to bring along their admit card and government photo identity proof.

Dress Code:

  • Regular students have to appear in their school uniform.
  • Private candidates can wear light-colored clothes.

Banned Items Inside the Exam Hall

CBSE has strictly prohibited several items from being carried inside the exam hall to prevent malpractice.

Calculator, Pen drive, Log table Log tables will be provided at the center
Electronic devices (mobile phones, Bluetooth, earphones, microphones, pagers, smartwatches, cameras) Any form of communication device is prohibited
Wallets, goggles, handbags, pouches Not allowed inside the exam hall
Eatables (opened or packed) Only diabetic students are permitted to carry food

Moreover, pupils with Dyscalculia are permitted to use the calculators furnished by the test center.

CBSE has requested the students to strictly adhere to the rules to allow a fair and smooth examination procedure. Any student found in violation of these regulations can face serious action as per CBSE's policy of unfair means.
