Good aspects : > Our college maybe one of the new colleges but it's distance to the main cities makes it a very accessible campus. > The campus is huge with 6 storey academic building and 10 storey hostel buildings. > The hostels provided are very spacious and clean. > Even though it is a sub urban town the patient inflow is quite a lot. > No.of hospital beds and OPDs available are more than sufficient. > The teaching faculty is well versed, Interactive and enthusiastic. bad aspects : > There are no sports area or auditorium developed yet so that leads to lesser personal development > There are fewer information inflow regarding workshops and seminars that leads to lesser exposure. >As it is located in sub urban town, reach to common amenities are a little difficult.
I chose this course precisely because of my interest in the subject of studying humans and how the respect given in this field. All the faculty have a minimum of degree in MD in their respective fields and are quite experienced. The teaching method is in form of ppt as well as board and pen which helps with great interactive sessions. There are total of 3 semesters each year with one final examination at the end. The exam difficulty is intermediate that follows NMC guidelines and is clinical based that leads to very helpful learning.
No I've not opted for internship as I'm not eligible for it yet but our college provides intership opportunity to every student after passing the MBBS examination. The monthly stipend of internship of JGMCH is approximately ?29,892. The patient inflow is quite a lot so there are no problems regarding experience.
The college provides compulsory internship to every student after 4.5yr of MBBS course. The eligibility criteria for placements include passing of final year of MBBS. Approximately 90% of students get placed after passing the degree.
fee structure: tution fee : ?6000/yr admission fee :?2000(one time) hostel fee : ?144/yr (no lab/management/development fee) Students under reservation Quota can apply for scholarships provided by the west bengal government - less than 3 year drop - SVMCM paying 60,000/yr more than 3 drop years - Aikyashree paying 24,000/yr (the scholarship must be applied in the first year of college only).
There have been no fests so far but it will be conducted in the middle of the year this year hopefully. The library provided is very big and almost all books from the MBBS curriculum is provided. The range of reference books are amazing and the library area provided is spacious and comfortable. Every classroom has a good projector , surround sound system, white board and podium. The campus conducts sports tournaments every winter and various extracurricular activities like worshops, seminars and conferences. The students run the IT committee of the college celebrating festivals.
The food provided is very good compared to what is usually provided by government colleges. The hostel has a wide range of menu providing chicken, fish , eggs, and also two kinds of vegetables at all times. The registration process is done at the time of admission only for those students whose homes are at a distance greater than 14km from college. The hostel is very affordable pricing to ?12 per month and the rooms are very clean and spacious. The locality around the hostel is not very safe after evening so it is usually suggested to stay inside the campus.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
