- Dean, Balram mukhopadhay is the worst faculty you will meet in iiser kolkata
Remarks :
For me Only factor to get admission in this college was to be scientist. As this college provide better platform for scholar to be a excellent scientist. As the professor in this college are quite famous scientist in india.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course in This college was pure science. You have options like physical science, chemical sciences, biological sciences, earth science and mathematics. Exam were taken in terms of assignments, quizes, midsem and endsem and sometimes presentations. Exam level is quite difficult.
Internships Opportunities :
I had not opted for internship because of the covid. But you get easily intership in iits , nits and iisc and mostly in foreign countries, you get good intership. Many students go foreign for their intershipa
Placement Experience :
No placement guarantee but tcs and other some companies visit campus for placement but number is below average. As most of the students go for phds in foreign as they get phd easily with higher basic pay. In year 2024 , only one student got placed in tcs. Only future is get phd offer in foreign countries.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Overall Semester fee was 44000 approx which includes hostels charges, mess establishment charge(7500) ,wifi , library and computer centre. Tution fee per semester was 33000 . General, obc and ews had pay this Much of fees. But for sc-st , total tution fee was waived, they only gad to pay approx 9500 per semester. If you are a kvpy qualified then you get a inspire scholarship, all are eligible for this scholarship if you are kvpy qualified. You get 70000 per year as a scholarship in inspire fellowship.
Campus Life :
Campus is full green as it has 6 rank in nature index in all over college on India. Clubs in this college are quite good specifically ek pehel which is only for poor kids get their education free and every necessary goods are provided to them.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is mandatory if you are bs ms students. As this is included in semester fees. Mess food is below average but hostel rooms are good , bigger in size, with mosquito net in the window. Locality area around my college is called "gate no 7" many hostel and restaurant are built in locality.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
