- All the facilities offered in this college, our world class. The infrastructure is a class apart the college campus is very beautifully designed for your ease.
- Faculty members are quite helpful. They never caused trouble. They are strict with rules and regulations .
Dislikes
- In first year student has to study all the subjects. It becomes quite hectic sometime.
- Sometimes the pressure due to studying all the subjects affects the grades, and therefore, mostly the grades in your first year, will be lower than your subsequent years.
Remarks :
A written test (riser aptitude test), has to be given for admission into a college. It lets you take admission in all the wiser and IISc. Iiser aptitude test consists of all four subjects, maths, physics, chemistry, and biology.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The college campus is very well furnished with world-class facilities. You have all kinds of access to all the things required for your studies or physical activities. The professors are helpful they take a very different approach to conducting the courses. There are semester and then semester exams in every semester, there are also class tests which will be useful for internal marketing. The fees are quite reasonable for the things you get people belonging to the category of SC or ST will get a complete concession of tuition fees there is also a scholarship program.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship programs are quite common in this college as there are a lot of professors who require students to work in their lab and you can help profess with their work in their life in this way, most of the internships are offered. Some of the students also get to do their internships in some companies. This college has a very different approach towards internships and is very supportive of it. I have personally done an internship in the biological department. It was quite smooth and was able to learn a lot from it.
Placement Experience :
Placements and job opportunities are quite good. People usually get placed in good companies if they want. Most people here. Opt for PhD after their studies as it will increase their profile. The Ph.D. is the most desired opportunity people over here want to seek Recruiters like Sun Pharma Cipla recruit over here the median average package is around 12 LPA. The Ph.D. opportunities are quite high colleges like Princeton and Stanford, offer PhD over here every year, and a good number of students, make it to colleges like this with a good Ph.D. PhDs are also well paid. So people usually offer a PhD.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very peaceful and the burden of studies is well managed. Due to the kind of environment, you get over there. There are many extracurricular activities including sports and cultural activities. The library is well furnished with all the kinds of books and research papers required. The Hostel is good enough. Mess Food is better than most of the colleges out there. The fees are quite affordable for the kind of facilities, it is reasonable.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
