Good factors- 1.Best Government College in West Bengal 2. Developed infrastructure 3. Great location 4.NIRF ranking Admission - through NEET UG EXAM Cut off for this college is high. I cleared the exam with a good rank and chose this college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
MBBS is the basic course for medicine.It lays the foundation of your understanding in future specialties. This course offers new learning skills and essential to become a registered medical practitioner. Faculties are approachable with great qualification and teaching methods,use of projectors and other equipments ,live patient classes are really helpful. Examination are yearly in nature means one final examination in each academic year. But throughout the year , there are so many tests ( part completion test, Item,internals etc.) Difficulty level - Questions are practical scenario oriented Not so difficult but lot to remember.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship is mandatory to complete the degree in your college. Internship is rotatory in nature and paid by government monthly 32000 rupees. Internship duration -12 months ( compulsory) One can apply for internship in other colleges also.
Placement Experience :
One can apply for government jobs and private hospitals after becoming a doctor. Campus offers Housestaffship after completing degree on contractual basis. One can continue higher studies after completing degree .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Year wise fee is 9000 for two semesters. In total we have 9 semester Total course fee =9×4500=40500 Registration fee of one time =2000 Admission fee =1000 During examination you have to pay exam fee which varies (per subject around 600) Fees are same for all categories. Fee is not increasing. Scholarship for MBBS students are 1.MCM (15500-20500)-amount may increase according to college 2.SVMCM(60000 rupees) You can apply for only one scholarship ( government scholarship) But additionally you can apply for scholarships from private organisations like FFE( Foundation For Excellence -40000 rupees),or others.
Campus Life :
Our college have two fests 1. Perizia - academic learning programme in the month of August ( usually) Students from different colleges can register. 2. Crux- Annual function ( usually in the month of September) Additionally Foundation Day celebration in the month of January. Library - all medical books are available,only students can access Amenities in classroom- Projector,Air Conditioner etc . Extracurricular activities - singing competition Art competition Football matches Cricket matches Kabaddi There is no club run by students.
Hostel Facilities :
Application for hostel can be submitted during admission procedure but one can apply later also Foods quality are good Hostel fee -12 rupees per month Food - you have to pay according to food Hostel is very near of campus .

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
