- I mean as it's an government college there is no need for asking anything like water purifiers or desktops.
- We have a good computer lab in our department.
Dislikes
- I think the boys washroom should be upgraded
- It should have at least few societies and clubs.
Remarks :
This college come in the top 4 colleges under Calcutta University that's why i chose this college. There was no admission test or interview before admission the whole process is based on the markes one gets in his or her 10+2.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I didn't know why i chose this course actually i was so confused after taking 2 years gap and didn't thought properly. Every professor holds a P.hd and we are taught in the traditional method ie. Black board and pen paper. The exams are taken every six months in every year there are 2 semesters.
Internships Opportunities :
No i haven't opted for any internship how could i say anything about it i have already mentioned it earlier that our college doesn't have any internship of placement offers for science groups i mean i am speaking of CBCS students. I don't know about NEP students.
Placement Experience :
No there is no campus placement, internship offers comes only for commerce and finance students. Every one either take preparation for government exams of opt for masters. I am thinking of doing MBA after my graduation.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Look there are 2 types of fees first one is College fees which one have to pay once a year it's around 2500 so 2500×3=7500 so the college fees is around 10,000 rupees. And you have to pay semester fees every semester which is also around 1500 for each semester so there is now total 8 semester, this fees goes to university. So the total cost would be around 2500×3+1500×8= 19,500. And for the scholarship part yes there is scholarship available swami Vivekananda scholarship (this one is for Hindus) and Aikashree scholarship(this one is for minorities) but for the both scholarship the amount is same 18,000 for graduation and 60,000 for professional courses like B.tech or MBBS.
Campus Life :
No no it's an government college so there is no such thing like feast. But the library is good and apart from the central one every department has its own seminar library. Once in a year a Sports competition takes place . But ther is no social group or club apart from the union.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes college gives hostel but only for minority students and girl students. The hostel is Baker Government Hostel which is very famous it also has a Wikipedia page and 10% of the hostel seats are reserved for university students.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
