- I like the faculties they are too good and supportive
- Education quality is also good. Highly recommend.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is old and unclean. Need to be hygiene.
- The hostels is only for muslims, other religions students will face this problem.
Remarks :
Choosing my college was influenced by many factors such that This college has a friendly environment. Top-class faculty. Location of the college. Reputation is good. Fees are minimal. Government-funded college. Class twelve result is required for admission to this college. The cut-off is not very high. No extra entrance exam is required.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Shortly statistics will become a high-value subject. We know that in the array of AI how much important is data science? And the core of data science is statistics, it has great opportunities. We have twice semesters in a year and the subject is not so easy. If your cgpa is 6 or above and you have a poor financial background then you get a Swami Vivekananda scholarship.
Internships Opportunities :
I opt for an internship at an Indian statistical institute. It's a paid internship but knowledgeable. where we attend multiple lectures. Explore multiple factories like gun factories. Then we analysed our collected data.
Placement Experience :
It's a government college. So campus placement is not available. But if you have a greater cgpa than you with a good subject like statistics, mathematics, or zoology, then you will get a job outside of the campus.
Campus Life :
The campus is tiny but enjoyable. The campus gets the title of world heritage side. Though it is small, every is in your step like a quiet library, canteen, gym etc. The college has a peaceful union run by students. The college has 2 hostels for boys and girls. But sadly it is for only muslim candidates.

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
