Admission in this college is merit based and depends on your performance in last board exams . This college have an admission cell which helps and guides the students for the admission process and formalities
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course curriculum is the latest advised ccf format which is followed by Calcutta University and the syllabus is curated by Calcutta University and their expert and experienced team. This college also provides for extra curriculam activities such as sports music and fine arts
Internships Opportunities :
Yes I opted for an internship in a GLC pvt ltd in their accounts department . My College helped me alot I getting that internship as I was not even graduated till then . Our HOD also provides recommendations to help students
Placement Experience :
College have a good and supportive placements cell. There are many companies such as Wipro, TCS,Deloitte,ITC ,Banks and other companies come to provide campus placement and to provide internship programmes
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees of this college for every month tution fees is just ?150 per month and the other fees combined this amounts to 1700 per sem. Also this college provides fees waiver fir economically detoriated students
Campus Life :
Campus of this college is small bt inculcated with various modern amenities including elevator, Air conditioned library and fully furnished common rooms to enjoy the college life. This college have various clubs for the students participation and this college also provides exposure to the brilliant personality by conducting seminars
Hostel Facilities :
This college doesn't provide hostel but there are many paying guest around the college as students from many states come in this college to study as this college is one of the best of its type in the entire Calcutta University

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
