Remarks :
The college is one of the best college in West Bengal. There is no entrance exam for admission. You have to the minimum 50% in your 12th standard examination to apply for admission. The college is best in sports, cultural programs and extra curriculum activities. Also top grade A plus college in education.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The one of the best faculty members are here for teaching us. The faculty members are highly educated they have m.a, PHD and a lots of degrees. The exam is held after 6 months, twice in a year. You can apply lots of scholarship when you are studying in this college. You can apply the west bengal government stipend scholarship, kanyashree, Swami Vivekananda scholarship etc.
Internships Opportunities :
A lots of multinational companies and rules offered under internships with stipend. The students are doing this internship with stipend programme and get well job. From the internship programme the learn a lots of qualities and a good job experience.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria is you have to complete the graduation degree programme to selected in the placement and job opportunities. Many multinational companies and a lots of small companies are come here for the placement program. Approx 3 lakhs per annum is the average package as per company and profiles offered.
Campus Life :
There are lots of rented room and pg in this area. Our fest name is Udaan. It's held once in a year.Also every year our annual Sports has been arranged by our college.The college campus is ragging free.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
