- Best department high infrastructure provides wifi ample amount of space and good canteen.
- The seniors and juniors have great bond so does the teachers and students.
Dislikes
- We don't have open space in the college.
- Sometimes the canteen provides rotten food also at times people start forcing us to participate in programs.
Remarks :
This college has the best science departments and geography is one of those they have top educated teachers and faculties with best labs and infrastructures they. Have the best bsc and ba departments with great teachers and great facilities.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I loved geography since childhood and topped in geography in boards plus the professors are highly educated all of them have done PhD in different topics of geography they're very skilled and makes us understand everything in the syllabus properly no matter how many times they need to explain. As a 2nd year geo major I'd say it's a very difficult subject we have a total of 32 papers for 8 years only based on geography plus we have pretty difficult practicals and excursion too.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester we need to pay 8000 max and for one year it's 16000 nd for four years it's 64000 which increases to maximum 70,000 for four years when it comes to BBA and decrease to 48000 for ba or bsc general.
Campus Life :
The campus is of morevthan 200 years old it's a closed space big huge. Plus we have fest in October before durgapuja and winter fests too plus we have annual sports even too. The classrooms are spacious with proper technology and ample light. We have several groups such as fashion group acting singing etc and these are run by the students themselves.
Hostel Facilities :
There are hostels but i didn't opt for many also there are several pgs near our college with low price and 3 time meals they have quite a proper living space there are numerous pgs and some girls hostels too near our campus.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
