- I like the college infrastructure especially for my computer science department. The faculties of the department is highly qualified and helpful and student.
- The classrooms are too good with cleanliness and technical instruments. The labs of software and hardware both are full of equipments and too good. The computers are newly placed, so they are also good.
Dislikes
- Mainly I dislike the examination system. The examination process evaluation is good, but exam timings and exam centres are not comfortable for students.
- College fees is lightly high for middle class or poor students.
Remarks :
No written test was required. The admission done through merit list based on board result of 12th. As faculties and department of computer science in asutosh College was renowned for its greatness, so I choosed the college. Admission is done via online through college portal.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choosed the course because it has a bright future in corporate sector and job market. Faculties are highly qualified. Mostly they are here of degree MCA, M.Tech also PHD, M.Phill. They are too friendly towards us and so helpful in studies case. Exams of the university is tough enough. Timings are various. Difficulty level is High as compared to other.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship available. I've not applied. Actually it is given in the Higher studies especially in case of M.sc persuing students of computer science department. You can do internships (paid or free) with the help of the faculties of the department.
Placement Experience :
Placement happens in computer science department after M.sc in computer science. Many companies like tata, Wipro, b10x and MNC come to college. Eligibility for the placement is to be master. And you will surely got placement if you have ranked with a huge percentage of marks in both b.sc and m.sc. Almost 20%-40% of the students got placed from college campusing. Package varies from 2lakh per annum to 5 lakh per annum.My plan after b.sc is to persue MCA.
Campus Life :
My life in the campus is spending very good. Annual fest of college happens named Udaan and every department has a separate freshers and farewell party. For my computer science department, it is named as 'Syntaxia'. There are so many sports activities happen in the college. Annual sports, Asutosh premier league for cricket and asutosh soccer league for football is arranged. Hostel is available in second campus. It is quite good with food and many PG, rooms are available near college campus.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
