Likes
- The most significant thing about our college is the Faculty and infrastructure that it provides to the students. The laboratories ar well equipped. There is option of Wifi, digital classrooms, etcs.
- Campus life is really entertaining. The seniors are helpful and there is no such ragging and bullies. Many fest and programs are held annually. There are sports facilities also.
Dislikes
- There is nothing that i dislike or hate in my college.
- There is no hatred towards anything which associates with my college or college campus.
Remarks :
In current scenario Asutosh College is the best for Geography Honours under Calcutta University, as it is facilitated with one of the best faculty and laboratories. It is equipped with all the special instruments this field requires. The department offers seminars and other programs to educate the students. This college offers Excursion. Equipped with AC in labs, Free wifi services, Digital Classrooms. The cut off for the last session was around 85%. Semesters are held in good frequency. It is totally merit based. Depending on your class 12's score. Students passing out from our department usually gets a package of around 3.5-5lacs per annum.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is pretty relevant. It gives you a wide opportunity. Gets you a good jobs like Remote Sensing Analyst, other jobs related to Geography. Faculty is one of the best under CU. Proffersors are very efficient. Their teaching methods are also different. They offer excursion or tour for the Surveys related to Geography. Vivekananda Scholarship is available for the students. The students get 12,000 for BA courses and 18,000 for the BSc Courses. Geography is a hard exam. So Semesters are pretty hard and CU makes it more complex. The sems are held in good frequency. No fee hike in our college. Geography is a expensive subject as it involves several instruments and practical based papers.
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet. But there are certain internship programs also. Several companies offers for internship from our college. Projects related to the field of geography are offered to our department. Like remote sensing analyst, any roles related to GIS, etcs.
Placement Experience :
There are certain placement programs offered by our college. Multiple organisations comes at our college and offers placement programs for the students. There are also awareness programs. The average package offered to our student is around 3.5-4lakhs per annum. Highest varies. My plan is to study MSc in geography after my grad gets completed from my college only.
Campus Life :
Campus life is awesome. The environment is good. There is no such thing called ragging in Asutosh College. There are fests and programs held. The library is great. It holds every books the students needs or requires. Even there is a digital library feature. Sport events like Premier leagues and soccer leagues are held. Cultural programs are also held. For registration the students have to apply. And wait for the availability. Students who are opting for hostels reviewed the hostel life as good.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
