Remarks :
The main reason of choosing this college was that first of all I didn't wanted to take drop and also because of my rank in WBJEE. The admission process was not that hard. I got this college in the second round of WBJEE counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview :
First of all about the course. The BTech(CSE) course is very well prepared but it has some subjects which did not needed to be there like Biology, rest of the subjects are obviously good. Talking about the faculties, they are very good, if you approach them with a problem in their specific subject they will obviously help you. One exam is taken for each semester before the semester exam for CA3 purpose. Now about the fees hike, it is very bad they just literally increased the fees by 15k-16k per semester. You can apply for SVMCM and OASIS scholarship along with Student Credit Card.
Placement Experience :
if you are from CSE, IT, AI/ML then I would obviously suggest you not to go for campus placement rather to go for off-campus placement. Because packages are not good in on-campus placement, what I remember is that highest package is around 16-18 LPA or something like that.
Campus Life :
Campus life is very awesome if you have the right friends. The college officially organizes fest. It has a library which has a good collection of book, along with two floors where you can study. In the college seniors have made different clubs like Dev Society, GDSC AEC, Hardware club, Robotics Club, Sports Club and many more, all managed by students of all years those who are members and core committee members. For hostel what I have heard is that it is good because I have not taken hostel.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
