Asansol Engineering College review by a first-year student
Remarks :
I didn't have a GD or PI session before being admission to this college. The admission was through the WBJEE counseling, and the cutoff of this College was 70k rank in the WBJEE exam. The admission process was good, and the college staff and the admission cell helped a lot regarding the fees and hostel-related quarries. My college has a separate placement cell which only focuses on the thing the student must be placed in the third or fourth year. I am currently studying in the first year and in the first year itself we had an FSP session and a special class for the aptitude and personality development class. All the faculty the PHD holders and you can freely contact them after the class also they will help you. Apart from all the good things one of the major problems with the college is the fees which they are taking according to me the fees should not be that high.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our college has a wide range of courses that a student can take the academics of the college are average the students get around 7 SGPA. the faculties are PhD holders but sometimes they fail to explain the concepts of math all the faculties don't know how to speak in English and they start speaking in Bangla which is not good for a student who has come from Bihar and Jharkhand. The students who are from West Bengal get a Scholarship named Swami Vivekanand from The West Bengal government which gives students 60000 per year but the fee of the college is high in comparison with the kind of college life and the infrastructure.
Placement Experience :
Our college has a separate placement cell in the college which only has one job and that is to ensure that the student is placed in some company the placement cell tries also but then also the placement of the college is not good this year 2023 only 8 students were placed from ECE and around 20 and 15 students were placed from computer science and IT so yes the placement can be made better.
Campus Life :
The campus life is not good as we don't have a big campus although there are many clubs in the college which are good but then also, I will say that the campus area should be increased and there should be a separate area for the fest and some indoor programs. Our fee was increased, and the reason was given that the infrastructure of the college would be made better, but it didn't so I will say the infrastructure of the college is not good.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
