- The college campus is pretty big and the green with lots of trees planted around.
- The college location is very prime it hase easy access to all the nearby places and hospital in case of any emergency.

- The college teachers and so very good at teaching and some teachers need to be replaced.
- The placement performance of college is dropping since last 2-3 years
Remarks :
I chose this college particularly because it's in my hometown, the infrastructure of the college is plausible, but the amenities are a little limited like the playground and activity area are outdated. The teaching staff of the college is also pretty average the teachers are not able to convey the subject properly but they do the job. I took admission with a rank of 9001 in WBJEE but the cutoff that year went around 22k for the CSE DEPT. During the counseling process there wasn't much of an interview just some formalities and then straight to the admission process. You can take admission here directly through management quota or through your wbjee rank. Furthermore, you don't have to indulge in any GD or anything such.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course of my interest in the subject and because this course is also the hot topic now with heavy recruitment and also looking at it the future growth aspect. The teachers here are adequately qualified for some of the subjects but there are also some loose ends, few teachers are there who are not so good at explaining things and managing the classroom. I will the the teaching staff of this college a 6/10 rating. The semester exams get Postponed really frequently but the class test are held timely, the difficulty level is easy to moderate. The fee hike is done every year and I think it is a little too much the total per semester fee when I joined was 50400, the next year it was revised to 67800, and the following year that is 2024 it has been hiked to whooping 87600 so I think this doesn't make any sense there is no improvement in college as such for fees to be this high. the students can also available SVMCM scholarship with a yearly allowance of around 60000 per year.
Internships Opportunities :
No, I haven't opted for any internship yet but the internship is given to various companies mainly Indian and it's onsite offsite. The projects can vary depending upon the skillset and ability of the students.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is 70% or above in 10th and 70% or above in 12th and some companies have their placement criteria. Some listed companies are byjus, TCS , Wipro, TCS Digital, etc. The highest package offered is around 20 lakh CTC per annum and the average is around 2-3 lakh per annum CTC. The placement percentage claimed by the college is around 90% but the reality is far from that.
Campus Life :
The festival takes place in April every year it's called Leganzza. Books and journals are available in the central library it's a decent-sized library with a decent book collection. The sports and extra activities are not so widespread and the facilities and equipment are also pretty mediocre. There are lots of social group in the college although only few are very active such as THE HARDWARE CLUB is the most popular and active among all of them who hold lots of competitions for students around the year. The hostel facility is also good with nice dining and the fees are also affordable, there are also PG facilities available within a 1km radius with food facilities and all the amenities.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
