At first I opted for BBA Hospital Management at BC Roy Engineering College, but then I got selected at NSHM Durgapur and looking at it's budget friendly fee structure and a reputable name in the healthcare industry I went for NSHM. I also had 4 Ex-NSHM students in my family and they all got placed in reputable hospitals, So after revaluating all these I made up my mind for NSHM. Yes there was a personal interview at the Helpdesk when I went for admission.
I choose this degree because of the wide availability of future options after graduation. The faculty members of our college are really good and have great expertise with them, they try to make hard topics as easy as possible to understand through presentations and are also always available if you have got any doubts. The exams are regulated by MAKAUT and follows all the rules strictly. The questions are mediocre tough if you have read all the topics nicely.
Last year's round there were around 30 different hospitals that took part in the internship programme, while not everyone of them provided Stipend, Apollo Hospital (Delhi and Chennai circle)provided, they also bagged in most of the students, AIG Hospitals also provided great facilities and also bagged many of them.
The authorities at the placement cells are really helpful. They will help you with everything they can and give you a placement opportunity. From our batch almost everyone (Around 80%) got a job. Mostly got in Apollo Chennai and Apollo Delhi, rest got in other hospitals. So overall they work really well and ensure that you get a good placement and have no issue in the process. My future plans after having the degree is to take part in the college placement rounds and secure a job at a reputable hospital and after that to pursue MBA in Hospital Management while working.
Till now I have paid yearly payment of ?1.4 lakhs including all the expenses, there's no separate payment for library or anything. SVMCM is available for students with more than 60% marks in their last qualifying examination. And also Asha Jyoti Scholarship for students with above 70% marks in last qualifying examination.
There's an annual fest held by the college over a span of 3-4 days which includes Dance competition, eSports, Debates, Sports tournaments, among others and also DJ Night for all the 4 days. There are also numerous cultural events to keep the students engaged and joyful, and also showoff their skill infront of the college. The library hosts a huge number of books to issue and also there's an Online portal available to access all the books in the library on the go using your College ID. You can also donate old books to the library and help them maintain the vast information that they holds. There aare currently 8 active clubs like CLC for English and Debates, A gym club, A Book club, etc... Students can take part in any of the 8 clubs and contribute.
I haven't taken any Hostel because I live nearby but some of my friends have taken Hostel services and they really appreciate it. To avail hostel facilities an excess amount of 15K-20K is added. The rooms are clean and cozy which is surrounded by greenery, there are seperate buildings for Boys and Girls and in between there is a lake where students can sit and spend some time and enjoy the nature.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
