An Honest Review of JISCE after 3 years of experience

- First of all I would like to mention about the college facilities. In CSE and IT department most qualified professors are there. Mostly all are PHD holders or Industry experts. Very professional and well mentorship provided.
- Infrastructure is good, separate buildings for Teaching, exam, events, canteen facilities and many more. A Hanuman temple is present in college campus.
Dislikes
- The college is a populated area but the campus size might be larger in context of land acquisition. Playground and buildings have covered the total area of campus, no open space.
- Very few variety in canteen food. Mostly they cook 2 or 3 items regularly. Only Cash is accepted in the canteen whereas in every other place in the college only accepts online payment. So canteen service may be an issue.
Remarks :
To get admission in JISCE there are multiple ways, among them 2 mostly feasible ways are - 1. West Bengal JEE for West Bengal Students. Second is JEE Mains for students accross India and outside also. Lateral emtry is also accepted here in 2nd year by passing a specific exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
This college is a Well reputed autonomous institution in all over the private colleges near around. Offering CSE, AIML, IT, ECE, EE, ME, BME streams in B.Tech program. Also have Agriculture, BBA, BCA, MCA departments under MAKAUT. Faculties are all highly qualified, mostly Phd holders. CSE and IT allied course is most popular here and gives strong placement records.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship opportunities are not that good in this college. Internshala and a few companies offer paid internship but those are not from college aide efforts. Students have to actively search for their own internship opportunities.
Placement Experience :
Placements and Campus drives are arranged for the final year students of B. Tech and MCA students. From 7th semester companies starts their placement drive. Throughout the year multiple MNCs and startups come to recruit freshers from this college. Mainly CS-IT students are in demand. But also other companies come for Mechanical and Electrical engineer freshers. Average Package offered is 4.5 LPA for B. Tech freshers. Highest package offered till now is 12 LPA.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
At the time of my admission in 2021 the total 4 years course fees was 408000 in total. Including Dress, Bag, Book Bank fees. Within the total fees amount around 46000 is per semester tuition fees. It becomes 92000 to 93000 yearly fees. Here students get scholarships according to their eligibility. SVMCM scholars get 60000 per year which is a merit cum means scholarship. Other than that for SC, ST, OBC students can get OASIS Scholarship which compensation amount is around 20000 per year. Besides West Bengal Student Credit card facility is available here. Need to mention that this fees structure is about 2021. In last session college fees become 620000 for 4 years of B Tech program.
Campus Life :
Two fests are yearly arranged here one is Cultural fest named 'MAJISTIC' which happens every year in around April-May. Another one fest is Technical fest called 'JISTech' which takes place is September- October every year. Annual and Inter College Sports are organised in January - February month. Various clubs and activities. Photography club is the most active club in this college. Digital libraries and Book Bank facilities available. Partnership with National Digital Library.
Hostel Facilities :
Hotel facilities are also available separately for Boys and girls infront of College main campus. I haven't opted for hostel facility but my friends are there who gave me review that Food quality is decent and 4 time meals are provided daily. Hostel fees are around 6000 per semester which need to be paid in advanced for a whole semester. Besides Local Mess and PGs are also there to explore.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
