To be very honest I was unaware of this college as back then JIS college did not gain much popularity. After our Wbjee results, I searched a lot about engineering colleges on YouTube and it was then that I got to know about this college. The reviews were fairly satisfactory. The cutoff of this college was not that high and with the score I got this college did not seem to be that bad. The average package of this college this year was 4.5 to 5 lpa and the highest was around 9 to 10 lpa. The admission procedure was quite smooth. Teachers and staff were quite helpful, we just needed a xerox of our documents and had to pay our fee. We were added to a WhatsApp grouo where we got our college updates. We can also get admission by management quota and there are rese available for the quota as well depending upon your marks. All you have do is secure atleast 45% marks in your boards exam and qualify wbjee cutoff marks that varies as it changes each year.
I chose B.Tech in IT as I was interested in robotics and ai ml. I preffered CSE but the seats were full. IT is as good. The faculties of IT department is very helpful, leaving few.. some are strict some are linient. Overall learning experience is fine. We get smart classes and flipped learning classes. Teachers pay good attention to all the students. We get mentors who helps and guides us in various ways.
Our college provides us with upaid internships like AWS internships, Coursera, and cohort internships with proper certifications. Students can opt for offcampus paid internships as well. We are also provided with a BCT training each semester. Recently our college launched a summer internship program named EWYL (Earn While You Learn). This internship was intended to provide stipends to students alongside learning.
The most important eligibility criteria for most of the companies is to have atleast 60% score in 12th boards and atleast 7.5 cgpa in college semesters. if you fulfill those criteria then you are good to go if not.. then keep trying.. don't get disheartened. There are many students who got placed in good companies having marks below 60 percent on boards.
Campus life is fairly good as the campus is average sized. We have playground, temple and garden in our campus. We have two auditoriums, canteen, a gym and a fairly big library. Overall we enjoy our campus life. Ofcourse we cannot expect a campus life anywhere near as good as the NITs or any big private colleges but still we do enjoy. Our college organizes sports and athletics annually as well as cultural programs and competitions along with extracurricular activities are encouraged along with studies along with trainings and internships. There are various clubs as well like dance, drama, quizz, coding, sports etc. It is important for all the students to participate as we get mar points which is essential to qualify b.tech. Students are welcome to enjoy library facilities and issue books as required. Late fee of re.1 is charged each day after the due date.Hostel facilities are fine but the food is terrible as per the students. Pgs and rentals are easily available in this area.
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
