- Most of all I like the infrastructure and healthy environment of the university campus. The lush greenery provides peace and one can go on evening and morning walks for a healthy lifestyle. The air is really clean here. The locality of the university is also very advantageous since it has got all the shops and everything inside the university including hospital and a market. Basic amenities are easily available here. Food is really good here. Mess food as well as canteens provide a wide variety of choice with a good quality
- Second of all, the academics and the reputation of this university which it strives to keep with every passing day. Studies are never negotiated here and a proper way of teaching is developed.
Dislikes
- There is no placement here. The rate is very low and also no internship opportunities. Although he university tries to better the placement system but still lacks a lot and does not match upto its reputation
- Lack of events here creates a bounday between people belonging to different religions/ states/ ethnicities. Everything is linked to punjabi culture which is good in sense of preserving the punjabi culture but bad beacause people here tend to acquaint less with other cultures which subconsciously promotes a sense of superiorty amongst people and lack of interaction with people of other backgrounds.
Remarks :
The admission procedure for UG courses proceeds via a Common Enterance Test (PAU-CET). The syllabus is same as NEET/JEE and can be prepared well by referring to ncert books. There is an overall cutoff which allows candidates to appear in the counselling session. Ranks are allotted based on CET marks and is followed by counselling which is held in 3 rounds. Students are called upon for admission based on their ranks in the CET according to which seats are filled. PAU focuses greatly on academics which is a great advantage for students as well as researchers. It also offers a wide variety of courses which incline to the agricultural background.
Course Curriculum Overview :
PAU has 5 colleges in its campus which offer different courses. The curriculum is different for each college/ course. Everyone is taught regarding their disciplines however common courses which are taught in every department are Maths, Stat, English, communication, botany etc. one good thing of this university is that it immenses non medical students with biology and medical students with mathematics which helps to grasp every subject for each and everyone. Most of the faculty here is helpful and provide notes for what is being taught in the classroom. The university follows an OCPA grading system and has definite credit points for a specific course. The ocpa is alloted out of 10. And exams are conducted thrice in a semester. The difficulty level toh the exams solely depends upon the teacher but generally exams are put from the syllabus taught in the class itself or the study material given by the teacher.
Internships Opportunities :
No i personally haven't opted for any internships. The internships depend upon the course as well. Students of food technology and biotechnology have to have an internship in the last semester. Some do not offer any stipend. Most of the interns get placed through self referrals only, and some through the placement cell of the university.
Placement Experience :
The placement here is below than average. The highest package was around 5-6 lpa this year. Only agricultural firms come here for placement. But the university is now developing more employment opportunities by organising some programmes in the campus. But the placement rat is very less. Around only 5% students get placed through the placement cell of the university.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The course fee was previously around 96,000 per semester, including hostel facilities. The hostel charges were around 7-9k per semester (10 semesters in total). However this year the course fee has been reduced to around 5-6 lpa which has made the integrated courses more affordable for students to get admission into. For students belonging to the SC category, whole semester fee (including course fee and hostel fees) is covered under various scholarship programmes. A merit based scholarship is also available for the students persuing undergraduate studies (GS Khush scholarship). The course fees being reduced tis year has led to an immense increase in the no. Of students. Tuition fees rounds upto around 20-21k for each semester for the batches of 2024. Other charges are included like registration fee, examination fee etc. which in total makes the fee 30-40k for one semester. Fee for first semester is the highest because it includes refundable college security as well.
Campus Life :
Social life at PAU can be rated 5/10 honestly. There is a lack of diversity since 85% seats are allotted to the punjabi people. There are a very less number of clubs here and only 1 or 2 fests a year which includes the youth fest that is conducted in October/November. Only punjabi celebrities come here at pau and that is to once or twice a year if you're lucky. However the infrastructure is really good. The campust is very clean and well maintained. The campus area includes 5 colleges, many many research farms, a petrol pump, a helipad and around 20 canteens. Also the university is situated in the heart of the city so outing and traveling is much much easier. Sports is highly encouraged and well developed here. Library has to be rated 10/10 since it has all the books, reading facilities and readind areas with a photostat shop inside it. And is well ventilated for summers. Auditoriums are great here. One thing, the campus is so big that one needs to have a vehicle
Hostel Facilities :
PAU has 16 separate hostels for females and males. The hostel is allotted to new students at the time of registration. A certain amount of hostel andmess security has to be deposited to claim a hostel seat. (Around 15-17k) Mess security is one time payable and is refunded after course completion. Rooms are allotted temporarily to all the students for 1-2 weeks. Students are required to submit a form mentioning their 12th grade percentage within a given time period and are permanently allotted rooms based on their percentage. Mess food is good the quality is is good. A day wise menu is made in the mess according to which food is served. Everyday breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are altered. The mess bill is required to be filled after a month. Hostel rooms occupy 2-4 students depending in the room type. Overall hostels are good. For a PG, the localities are near to PAU with good PGs.

To apply for placements in LPU you need to have 6+cgpa mostly. there no company as i know that went without recruiting any student. the highest was on campus was 51.03lakhs Microsoft and average was 5-6 lakhs. the students around 85 %will be placed .my plan was to do a decent job in any MNC.
Life at cgc landran.
Placement Experience :
Placement at CGC landran is decent around 70 to 80% student got placed based on your skills. The eligibility criteria usually includes minimum 60% marks with no active backlogs. Top recruiter companies includes TCS, Wipro, Infosys and Capgemini. The average package is around 3-4 lpa while highest package can go up to 10 to 12 lpa. Multiple offers are made every year across different domain.

Internships Opportunities :
I haven't done any intenship yet but Yes, internships are available at Chandigarh Group of Colleges, Mohali. Companies include TCS, Infosys, startups. Roles: Web Dev, QA, Data Analyst. Stipend ?5k–15k. Tasks include coding, testing, and project work.

Placement Experience :
The eligibility for placement is no backlog or reappear and CGPA IS above is 6 and fresher they get placement for 6thsem based on the skills and knowledge of the student and they provide a salary of 3 to 12 lakhs per/ year and recently SPICEJET company give around 8 lakhs CTC for 5 to 8 students and my plans after competing the degree is to do higher education in design modeling.

As the course is designed for pharmaceutical industry so the companies like mankind, sunpharma, macloid, overseas etc. Are top recruiters. The average package is 3-3.5 lakh per annum and highest goes upto 4lpa. As after masters most of the students goes for higher studies and teaching so the placement rate is low.

Overall Placement rate is about 60 to 70 percent for every branches . Recruiters provided descent opportunites to the students. Above 7 CGPA students get eligible. Some recruiter are Infosys, TCS, wipro, Siemens etc

College doesn't keep any eligibility criteria for placement it depends on the company which came for recruitment and yea if you had scored around 8+ cgpa you are eligible for every company Regularly company which come for recruiting students are infosys,tcs ,jsw , cognizant, Capgemini,L&T,tata steel etc Average package is 4LPA and highest package is around 55 LPA Around 75-80 percent students get placed in the college Some of the branches like instrumentation and control engineering and mechanical engineering have around 98-100% placement in the previous year

Since the college comes under an institution it opens the gate for various company and even those which just require a graduation degree instead of a specific field. Cadila Lupin etc visits every year. Good 60 to 70 students gets placed.

The placement are good but there are a lot of criterias for the placement and the college faculties force us to take the placement in the development roles to show that the college has 100% placement.There are less companies for the consultancy or data based jobs. The college doesn't provide any on campus intership. They provide intership in the college Startups and they pay very very less and they exploit the interns as lot. I got only 500 rupees for doing 1 month internship and working 6 hours a week.
