Remarks :
The college is good with decent placement and nice campus that's why I selected. The admission process is simple based on JEE and WBJEE rank. They take direct admission also but will charge more for that depends on management.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course is old. Professors and lab technicians are good. There are many labs but Internet in the campus is not good. You need to do self study more. And teachers will take classes everyday. Some can let you bunk.
Internships Opportunities :
College does not provide internships. You have to look for it yourself. College is not supportive of internships during the course duration also. They will ask to come for classes and exams so it's hard to do any offline internship.
Placement Experience :
Placement is good. There will be some tech companies as well as non tech companies. But the placement scenario of college is getting bad maybe due to the recession also. But if you focus on learning only then it's fine.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee when I was there was 40k per semester so 80k per year. There will not be any additional fee. Examination fees are also included in it. Fee is same for everyone. Except for management quota they charge more.
Campus Life :
Life is fine. Not much happening. You can enjoy sports in campus and there will be some clubs you can join for extra curricular activities. There is library which is good. And one annual fest in campus is good.
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel is nice. Good is also good. Hostel fee will be around 35k per semester. You get 3 times meal and snacks in evening. The menu is decided by students so you can get your fod choice added in the menu.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
