- My college campus is very big there is two ponds are there and greenary and sports complex are there ..so besides studies many extra curricular activities are there to do .the infrastructure is so big and modern technology are there like CCTVS, projecter, smart board , and highly pro active faculties are there who have job experience also ..they provide ourselves the good skills and technology to be master in our fields. They are teaching us with bonds like father and son , daughter.. they are told ourselves about there life and experience and life lessons..
- In the college the campus life is also very good .. you can enjoy it by sitting in the pond side or in the green grass .the students are singing there is groups you can join them or gossiping with friends. There are security guards are so no kind of dengerous activities is prohibited. You have to show your I'd card to entire in the college gate ...that is very good for students.
Dislikes
- Not too much dislikes in my college but I have to said that there must be an exam in the admission process and classroom can be done too modern that can help the students and some faculties behaviour need to change and more cleaning is there for the campus and hostel fees need to do less and food quality must be good for the students..and there is a proper food chat in the hostel .
- The walls of our college is so short it need to be a good height that nobody and can jump the wall ..and there is more sports in indoor sports complex.but the overall life and standard id very good in the college....
Remarks :
From my childhood, I wanted to do hotel management because I love to travel and this type of job attracts me a lot .. After completing my HS...I studied for the next exam but I didn't do it then I thought that it was time to fulfill my real dream. I lived in a small town in west Bengal called Bankura...then I heard about NSHM and its good environment of studies and outstanding placements then I got admission to NSHM, Durgapur...there is no such type of exam in the admission process... but they saw your 10th and 12th results thereafter only donation...the admission process is very good and easy you went to the college and there is admission staffs are told you about all the process and the college and its facilities also ..the good things about the college is it's the eco-friendly environment, clean classrooms, secular library, practical labs and last but not the least it's outstanding and experience facilities..and the bad things are there must be an exam in the admission process.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In the future, I want to be a 5-star hotel front office manager. So this is the course to fulfill my dream and in my childhood too I wanted to do hotel management. In my college, the job experienced and teaching experienced faculties are there. The teaching methods are very practical and smart technology is used there ..in every classroom there is a projector and the faculties are very lovable and friendly.. our college is under MAKEOUT University so they follow the semester exam and every 1 month there is a CA exam and PCA exam .. you have to achieve good marks in CA exam too to get good marks in semester and 5 marks for attendance.. under MAKEOUT the question is moderate but time taking questions are there .. our college follow every scholarship like Swami Vivekananda scholarship and Student credit card also.
Internships Opportunities :
After 3 third semester, you are eligible for an internship and the respective companies are there to choose you for an internship...the internship is available in India as well as abroad. companies like JW Marriott, ITC, and Hayat are there and they provide stipends for students also ..in which department you are chosen and interested to do in jobs they provide you with areas to learn the skills and jobs to do there. Our college project is to do 100 % placement abroad and internship is also abroad....they did lots of things to do as fast as they could..
Placement Experience :
The college placement percentage is 95 and above. After completing the industrial training you come back to campus and read for more than 6 months and then you are eligible for jobs you have to pass all the semester exams and there are no backlogs are there ..the reputed companies are there for placement like Taj, Hayat, ITC, JW Marriot, and many more ..you have to impress the interviewers with your communication skills and the studies also ..but there is an option also that where you have done your industrial training if you are good there ..the hotels are selected you there only and not interview are there for you only ..the highest package is there is 35000/ month and lowest is 18000 / month and average is 25000/ month.. 95% of students are got direct placement from college. after completing my degree I plan to go abroad and do jobs there for good money and life also .. and my dream is to be a good front office staff.
Campus Life :
Our Campus is very big and greenery is everywhere. Our college fest is called Blitz and it's held every year in January or February it's our annual sports and food fest event and there are also many bands coming for entertainment.. all types of sports are there and many colleges come for the competition and extracurricular activities like face painting. A fashion show and photography competition are there Many famous people are coming for the food fest that is the pride of our hotel management course and the college is decorated very lovely with lights..in college there are many clubs like reels making, music, and sports. there is a mentor and many students are there who run these clubs. For the hostel, you have to pay in the admission process. but the hostel facilities and not so good a few years back this was excellent. and the price of hotel rent and food is so High. There are Rooms and PGs available near our campus and the environment is good also but some places are bad.

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
