Remarks :
NIT Raipur is premium and prestigious institute in central India for metallurgy and mining. It's placement Statistics is also one best for engineering in whole chhattisgarh. It was originally built in around 1952 but made NIT in 2005 under central scheme.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Course structure is such that by the end of 3rd year, student becomes expert in metallurgy and steel making. In 1st nearly all the subject are same for student from different branches like mining, metallurgy, mechanical, electronics ,electrical ,computer science, information technology, biotechnology and biomedical.
Internships Opportunities :
Intership is mainly done in end of second and third year and our college have specific cell for internship and placement. student are trained for internship. and often have industrial visit to learn industrial and corporate norms and regulations.
Placement Experience :
Placement Statics for metallurgy is one of best in this institute nearly 90% of student gets placed from campus, while some opt for further studies and some for gate and various other exams, overall placement is very good
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Per semester tuition fees:- 62500?(same for every semester) Other fees(8000-6000)? per semester. And there various remission of fees for student from different backgrounds. SC/ST :- Total Remission of Tuition fees. EWS<1 Lakh :- Total Remission of Tuition fees Similar 2/3 and 1/3 for different income groups only from tuition fees.
Campus Life :
There are pretty much, clubs and comittee that hosts ,central India's largest fest event.Sport events like sama fest like technocracy and eclectika are most awaited festival that take place in 3 days to 1 week or more.
Hostel Facilities :
Food provided in hostels are much much better than other external mess.There is no direct comparison between foods.but hostel seets are limited and given in academic basis.hostel for 2nd,3rd and 4th year students have even lifts.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. They are very easy to approach and helpful in nature, they help us solving doubts and gives us tips in study.

There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
