- The college infrastructure is really nice for annex but they need a good infrastructure for main building
- The faculty are nice but they need to invest more time in teaching
Dislikes
- The washroom are very dirty and the there is always chaos in the college
- The faculties are quiet rude and they gives school vibes
Remarks :
I have heard a lot of good reviews about this college and the admission process is through wbcap which is West Bengal official website for admission in all colleges through cu but the college also took admission through sports quota too There were 4 rounds of admission and I was selected in the1 round only so it was not a big issue for me
Course Curriculum Overview :
I was studing for mbbs so i choose this course as a partial drop and the subject microbiology will help me in mbbs too All the faculty are either m.phil or phd passed and they teaches quiet well The first semester exam is from 15th feb and the session started at September so its basically 5 months also the exams difficulties will depend on Cu
Internships Opportunities :
No internship as we are opting for degree course and not a professional course so we do not have any placement from our campus we should opt for msc then only we will get placement and yes cu doesn’t have professional course
Placement Experience :
We dont have direct placement through the college because it is a degree course and degree course doest provide direct placement through college for that anyone should opt for professional course for that anyone should opt for makaut
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The total fees is 104000 We didn’t get the part of the fees like tuition fees caution fees etc For all categories fees are same There are multiple scholarships like svmcm also if you join the union the fees become half and if you are financially unstable the college really helps you with the fees
Campus Life :
There are multiple fest in our college as they have 32 departments but till now there is no fest or anything in our department The library has a large variety of books and journals but since i dont have reading obsession so I didnt know the exact books and also the course books r available The sports plays a very important roll in our college we have out own cricket and football tournaments There are 4 union in the college Bijoli , Worthless, Singles, and the 4th one is not important and there are no other clubs or anything runs by student
Hostel Facilities :
No I didn’t opt for hostel because i stay in Kolkata but yes college has hostel but no one from my classmates had opt for that they stays in pgs and room and yes there are manu pgs near the college which makes it easy

Placement Experience :
Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
