- Infrastructure - The main building is really well built.
- Teachers - They're always helpful and won't ever disappoint you.
- Environment - The tress and plants make the environment even more pleasant in hot summers.
Dislikes
- How its secluded from main city kolkata, you have to take a local whenever you want to travel.
- Lack of events - All the events happening are from clubs and their grandiose isn't as much.
Remarks :
I choose this college simply because it was in a peaceful place, far from city. But at the same time all the things we need are quite nearby. I didn't appear for any interview or group discussion as I got in with counseling.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum gets updated every semester depending on the industry standards so it's a very good thing. Faculties are really helpful and since most of them are already doing research, it makes the college environment a bit innovative.
Internships Opportunities :
I haven't opted for any intership yet since I am doing a training provided by my college. I have done an internship last semester in a startup and the experience was really worth it. Apart from that most people get internship off campus too.
Placement Experience :
There are lots of placement and internships available with the help of placement coordinators. Also lots of tech based companies visit every year so almost everyone gets placed. There are industrial visits too.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We usually have to pay 55k to 60k every semester. There are some scholarships available but they're mostly for people who are from West Bengal. Almost everyone has similar fee structure. But yes you have to pay additional 2k as examination fee.
Campus Life :
There are lots of clubs on the campus. There are cafes too and most of the times the campus feels lively due to the amount of people. The library is very spacious and packed with all necessary resources.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostels are poorly maintained and the food quality at hostel is really bad unless you opt for non veg meals. But yes the hostel is quite affordable as they charge only 12k for a semester but you have to pay for mess after that.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
