Remarks :
A good aspect of this university is that it is nice and clean, and the lab infrastructure is very clean and organized. The rooms are air-conditioned. Faculties are well qualified, and their way of teaching is simple and to the point where they teach from presentation on smartboards, which helps us to understand much more easily and efficiently the sanitary standards of this University are quite good and the staff work regularly to keep classrooms, restrooms and corridors in a neat and clean condition. The bad aspects of the University are that there is no dress code in this University, and the course and transportation fees are still now costly.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course which I opted for was my dream course, and this University made my dreams come true. The first aspect is that the lab infrastructure is efficient and well organized which is crucial for this course. The professors are filled with knowledge, and their way of instructing their respective subjects is simple and from a basic level. The exams which are conducted by this University are much more application-based, proper understanding anf logical thinking is required to get good scores in the exams; theory-based questions are minimal. This makes the exams much more meaningful and will help to apply such knowledge in future much more easily.
Internships Opportunities :
The opportunities that this University offers are from prominent and popular institute and companies like Guwahati Biotech Park, Red Cow, United Beverages, Suraksha Diagonistics, and many more. The instructions and practical learning from this places is meaningful and will unskilled any individual.
Placement Experience :
The minimum eligibility criteria for placement is to get a graduation degree. The recruiters are from well-reputed companies like Apollo, Nestle, Amul, Keventers and many more. The highest package to ever receive is a yearly salary of One crore rupees. The average percentage to get a placement is e above 7.0 CGPA, where about .y plan is to pursue a Master's degree in Molecular Biology.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The Scholarship that is offered by this University is the Swami Vivekananda Scholarship which is Rs 18,000 per annum. The college provides scholarships to every students who secured high scores in their classes.
Campus Life :
Social life on Campus is beautiful. The ambience is quiet and peaceful. The campus is shrouded with lush green grasses, beautiful flowers and trees which provide shade during hot summer season. The nature of all students are quite nice and friendly. They like to cooperate and create network with each other.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
