Remarks :
Haldia Institute of technology gives admission to students based on the WBJEE and JEE mains examinations. The cutoff for computer oriented branches like IT and CSE with specialization generally lies below 20000 rank in WBJEE and below 9000 rank for CSE main branch. The college has iconic and expansive infrastructure and the environment around the college is also good.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The faculty are well educated in their respective fields and are very friendly and approachable. Every batch is assigned 3 mentors to whom students can report their grievances related to academics or health. There are 3 class tests and 1 final semester exam in every semester and the difficulty of the questions generally varies from medium to high but the students can easily get good grades if they study well from class notes and lectures.
Internships Opportunities :
The Placement and training cell guides students to get internships both on campus and off campus. The curriculum of the course is designed to make the students ready for all the challenges they may face in the industry.
Placement Experience :
Students of the final year with a decent academic record are allowed to sit for campus placements. Few of the companies which visited HIT for campus placements are Cognizant, Infosys , TCS, etc. The highest package offered last year was 33 LPA and the median package for all branches lies around 5 LPA.

Campus Life :
Riviera is the annual cultural fest of HIT which is generally conducted around around March - April. The Aryabhatta central library of HIT is well renowned to be one of the largest libraries for a private college in west bengal. It has a wide variety of books and journals for students of every branch. There are various national level clubs in the college for both technical and cultural activities like CSI and ISTE. HITtimes is the media club of HIT run by the students.
Hostel Facilities :
Students have to sign up for hostel allotment and pay the hostel fees which is ?12000 per semester, to be alloted a room in the hostel at HIT. The food at the hostel mess is decent and affordable. Both veg and non veg options are available for the students.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
