I was recommended Btech in this college by various of my friends and researched about it on the internet and decided to appear for the WBJEE examination to take admission in this college. This college takes admission through the JEE mains and WBJEE examinations, the cutoff for computer science specialization and IT branches generally lies within 15000 rank in WBJEE.
The teachers are well educated in their respective field and are very helpful and approachable. The course curriculum from third semester onwards is branch focused and contains all the subjects required to make the students ready for industry and further studies. There are 3 class tests in every semester which account for internal 30 marks given to the student and 1 final semester exam which accounts for 70 out of 100 marks for a subject. The difficulty of semester exams generally varies from medium to hard but students can easily get good grades if they study well from class notes and lectures.
Most of the students get internship in 2nd or 3rd year with a good stipend. There is a separate training and placement cell for helping students to grab their internship. There is also a communication and personality development classes which helps students to improve their communication skills.
The placement and training cell of our college is always in touch with final year students to help them during the campus placement drive. Cognizant, Infosys and TCS are few of the top IT companies which visit out campus for placements. The highest package offered last year was 33 LPA. Students from 2nd and 3rd years can apply for on campus or off campus internships to enhance their job prospects.

There are various national level clubs in this college like CSI-HIT, ISTE-HIT and GDG-HIT which helps the students enhance their technical knowledge and get their hands on various programming skills. The aryabhatta central library of HIT is renowned to be one of the largest libraries for a private college in west bengal. It has a wide collection of books for all engineering branches, especially for computer related branches like CSE and IT.
There are three hostels for 1st year students in HIT - P2 and P5 hostels are located inside the campus and the Ranichak boys hostel is located outside of the campus. I have chosen the Ranichak boys hostel which is located about 1.5 km away from the college. Every room accomodates 3 students and has basic ammeneties like study table, chair and an attached washroom. The hostel fees is very affordable at 24,000 rupees per year and there are seperate charges for the mess food in hostel. The hostel has a closing time of 7:30 pm after which students have to contact the hostel superintendent to get entry into the hostel. The college hostel is affordable and has all the basic amenities like attached washroom and decent food.

Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
