- The college infrastructure is good and well maintained with nice classrooms,library and labs
- Faculties are educated and teach well,also the exams are taken on time and the difficulty level is also low
Dislikes
- The collge campus life is worst due to the seniors and their intervention in everything
- College administration is not taht good and there are nop scholarship provided by the college
Remarks :
I took admission through WBJEE COUNSELLING in which I had a rank of 16739(WBJEE) and I got Data Science branch in the college .I got to know about the college through my college and the college was supposed to be nice, however I faced manny problems in the campus like a strict invironment in the campus.You can't just roam freely in the campus(due to SENIORS), there is an uniform of the college which is mandatory but along with that you can't even wear a normal watch,a belt and no any sneakers. You can't just hill in the campus with your friends(forget about with ur girlfriend).For campus Life, this shouldn't be your choice as you have to go through a strict environment, fights and don't expect any strict action from the administration.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose B.Tech with an expectation of Tech jobs and DATA SCIENCE branch for Data analyst role.The Course and Curriculum is followed of the MAKAUT University, teaching staffs are good amd have knowldge about the subject.For exam, you can get decent marks if you study overnight as you get practice set from respective subject teachers.Exams are conducted as scheduled(just 1 month difference) and the difficulty level is low.
Internships Opportunities :
I'm currently in my first year, so for now I haven't any internship going on.However I'm working on my skiils of web development and will try getting internship in any startup or other small companies with no intention of money and salary
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for the placement is to have a cgpa of 7.5 above and this the minimum qualification needed for the placement.Mass recruiter like Capgemini,accenture and infosys visit the campus and offer around 4-5lacs package.Everuy year around 50-60% students become able to get any placement and my plan is to develop my skill and get off campus offer by the end of my third year.

Campus Life :
There are two fest organized in the campus name Riveria(Cultural Fest) and Prayukti(Tech Fest), from the last 2 years fest hasn't been organized but there are talks going on for 2025 Fest and there are high possibility .College has an active environment in terms of clubs and societies like HIT Times,IEEE etc there are around 10 clubs in the campus including sports club and there is an active participation as well from the students.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel infrastructure is good and maintained and the mess food is average, and there is a unique thing in the mess of month bills, which is calculated everyday you eat and pay at the end of the month.However, there is security concern in the hostel as the guards open the hostel gate for seniors who will enter the hostel and will beat anyone they want and no actions are taken against them.You will have to face beer bottles striking your hostel window and corridor.So i won't suggest opting for hostel.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
