I got the admission through WBJEE Counselling with the rank of 10k and got AI ML branch. The admission process is not that much hectic, however the management doesn't control everything nicely .You can get this rank with some hardwork.
I I chose Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning branch as there is a demand of AI in the job market and I had an interest in the algorithms as well. The faculties are good and teach well and specially they provide some practice questions before the exam which makes the exam very easy.
No, I haven't opted for any internships right now, but the college offers some placements which are unpaid mostly but they gave the industry exposure before the placements. Core students have the highest number of internships in the campus as there are many chemical and other industries situated nearby.
The placement criteria is to have a CGPA above than 7.5 and there are mass recruiters like Capgemini, Accenture and infosys which they offer around 3-5lpa.THere are around 50-60% students placed in the campus with an average package of 2.5lpa
The total tuition fee for the year is 121000 and there are other charges as well like development charges and student welfare which makes the semester fee around 70k and hostel charge is 12k for 6 months .For the complete course, the fee is 682000 including hostel(excluding mess ).There are no such scholarships by the college but there are other scholarships like SVMCM and E-Kalyan.
The campus Life is full of ragging by the seniors, there is always that senior-junior thing in every events and they control you in every way possible. However there are multiple clubs in the college which you can join and interact with seniors and increase your connections.
The hostel infrastructure is nice and good, everything is in good conditions and maintained nicely except the security. There is a huge lack of security of the hostelites as there is always a danger of the seniors entering the hostel and do whatever they want. The mess food is average but yes cheaper from outside
Placement is I do not say that is very good but I would say that treatment is almost okay and that's up to you and lot of MNC companies came in our College group. There are internship opportunities industrial training like Euphoria ardent like this MNC and ideas
In this college we have five departments, civil, computer science, mechanical, electrical and mechanical respectively and the stops are very good and the faculties are highly qualified and they are about almost everyone is iitiab
Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies
Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.
Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
