- I particularly, like my campus life, fun is an important element in college beside education and my circle in college is pretty fun to be around (they give me quite a laughter every day)
- I might not like but there are a few members of the faculty I really like and admire . Few who alongside being extremely qualified are also good professors who without being partial, help me in paving my way towards success
Dislikes
- I must say infrastructure here . See, there are few fans and light which I have never seen working and it irritates me when proper measurements are not taken in making them work even after complains
- The timings of taking two three periods of the same subject . It often bores the student, disrupting their focus and thus ultimately them not getting any knowledge
Remarks :
I got selected in this college through WBJEE exam . Though it is at quite a distance from my house, this is a comparatively good college in terms of education providement and placement reputations. Though not one of the top, it has a rank as a tier three engineering college from west bengal
Course Curriculum Overview :
I wanted to do something which shall help me into getting in corporate, and after computer science, I found Information technology to be interesting. Honestly speaking, the faculties are quite knowledgeable, though some are terrible in terms of teaching skills . They might all have the knowledge but very few can actually provide it to students . Speaking about term exams, they take place in June and December, though due to system of makaut the first years and second years often give their odd semester exam late, which is likely January or February ( 1st years since their admissions get late and second years due to the admission of lateral students)
Internships Opportunities :
Not yet though I am thinking of applying for one next year ( which is my third year ) . Though we need to get internship opportunity from outside, since it is not usually provided by college . So, we need to particularly search for one
Placement Experience :
Well, to sit in placement, you need to have a ygpa of more than 7 , and you need to be cleared in every subject throught the course. Don't expect Placements to be very good , but if you have the skills and knowledge you are bound to get one even in on campus . The percentage of students getting placements might differ from year to year but it is more than 50 percent . The average packages here are around 4-5 LPA , also highest might range upto 9 LPA . As per my plan, its either getting a decent job or going for either Mtech or MBA
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Total fees in 4 years which we need to pay is Rs. 4,70,000. This total amount is divided in a manner where for the first semester we have to pay almost 70000 (which includes the normal semester fees and tuition fees too, as it is the sem of enrollment) later on the fees from second semester goes to 47000, 49000,52000 in the semesters.
Campus Life :
Speaking About clubs, they are pretty cool. There are several clubs like culrav (cultural club) , Xplorica ( technical club) , Estrella (drama film club) , Sportivo (sports club) and Gdsc (Google development club). Each club has its own speciality and are fun to be around (tho be careful partiality might be a tough fuss there at times ) About fests i will say each club organise their fests in grandeur manner, though the main fests are Flames (organized by Culrav) and Pheonix (organized by Xplorica). Along with participation from other colleges, they bring talents to perform and rock the show . Well, speaking about library, it is quite a cool place with all educational books and a quiet environment for whenever we need to concentrate and focus. As of my personal experience, you might also quietly scroll through your phone, enjoying the cool air conditioners
Hostel Facilities :
Sorry, here i might not be able to provide any info since I don't live in hostel but I have heard quite a review from my friends and this is what I am providing . Talking about hostel food, it is not top class (ofcourse) but it is well prepared to be eaten

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Still don't about the placements and job opportunities . I haven't even discussed with my seniors about the opportunities after the graduation we get from college.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
