- Faculty members, are quite helpful not all although.
- It's a very well known college in the resident area.
Dislikes
- The college doesn't have any big playground, smaller than my school.
- Classrooms, washrooms and infrastructure needs renovation it's very boring and outdated.
Remarks :
We can get admission to the college by clearing JEE or WBJEE with a good rank. I heard about it from one of my friends. She's studying there too pursuing BCA. There are no such criteria you can join through management quota too.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is quite boring while studying the outdated Makaut syllabus. However, the faculty members are not the most good but helpful. They may have the degree but still need the right way to teach.
Internships Opportunities :
At the start of 3rd year college told us to pursue a paid internship in various companies tied with the college such as Euphoria, Ardient etc. There fore we've to try for off-campus and not rely on college.
Placement Experience :
Placements this year 2024 are very low. However, till 2023 it was quite good However the average package is decreasing. Mechanical and Electrical department Placements are very bad. Also, the 60% criteria can be problematic.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
We've to pay almost 3.6lakh plus extra charges and admission fee of almost 25000, while admission they charge around 75000 the first sem fee with admission and other extra charges. We can avail of scholarships like SVMCM, Eikyashree and student Credit Cards are also available.
Campus Life :
The campus of this college is very small. Even smaller than my school campus. Doesn't have a proper playground. The rooms are outdated and haven't any wifi on the campus even in 2024. Such a boring campus.
Hostel Facilities :
I'm not a hosteler, however, I can say there's no hostel related to this campus. Although there are third-party mess or hostel options. Some of my classmates stay in some flats individually. It can charge upto 5000 per month. Food nearby is cheap but the options are less.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
