- The college library is good, it has wifi facility and good amount of books to access
- The faculty members are quite decent, the head of the department of commerce section is the best

- The college campus is worst, having nothing for students engagement
- The college doesn't have any program or social events which is quite disappointing
Remarks :
Our admission was through centralized admission portal which was new to us and there we had to make list of colleges and get selected so unfortunately I got selected here, it is not my fav college or the college I wanted too
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum by CU is very old and back dated, which is not liked by me, it needs huge amount of improvements, the academic life after this course is worst, not much scope as majority has taken up this course, the faculty is good , overall it is decent
Internships Opportunities :
No I didn't opt for any internship yet but our college doesn't provide any such internship, you get to go inside the college that's enough nothing much can be expected whatsoever, just read and do everything by own, the college will not support you
Placement Experience :
The college doesn't give placements, it's just your own caliber through which you can get internship, don't expect anything in return from this college, rather if possible don't take admission here, stay at home it's better.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fee is taken by college in semester basis, the bcom hon degree has the total fees of 47000 , and it takes 11750 per year , rather than that other fees like examination form fees is directly taken by the affiliated university
Campus Life :
The campus of the college is not so big nor too small, it has gym, canteen, auditorium, library, but it should have a field for sports activity so that the over all growth of a student can take place, but unfortunately the college lack in these matter
Hostel Facilities :
This college doesn't have hostel facility, the college do have morning shift for commerce but it doesn't have hostel as the students are not at all interested to stay in hostle to study in this college

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
