Its overall placement rate and also its good return of investment.I got admission through Wbjee examination , here mainly admission takes place through merit based but there is also option for management quota.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Professional course curriculum is maintained with proper industry leading techniques. Overall great academics like Nits and faculties have great qualifications from world class universities of the globe.
Placement Experience :
Placement here are good in comparison to its fees this college provides great opportunities to the students and good companies come in this college. Good for core and non-core students but after all one has to work hard.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Yearly fees with hostel is 191700 for 1st year. Fees from second year onwards is 164000 till 3 years. Fees here is more in 1st year but after that it starts decreasing and becomes constant for other years also there are lots of refunds .
Campus Life :
Great campus life. More than 20 clubs and societies functioning properly in the college and majority clubs are well renowned with worldwide reach , various events are organised on weekends. Infrastructure is good and maintained a quite well.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes I opted for hostel which is 10 mins far from the college building which has a mess with not great food, hostel facilities are good enough with occupancy of 3 with attached washrooms and proper water and electricity supply included in fees except that mess one.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.

There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
