- Newly built Hostel H is the largest hostel of central India.
- NIT Raipur has its own railway station.(Though publicly also used).
Dislikes
- It does not have accommodation for all the students, and studlents get hostel based on their ranks and then their CGPA afterwards.
- The institute does not have good infrastructure. Be it for sports, and extra facilities such as stationary etc.
Remarks :
Along with being an institute of national importance, NIT Raipur is also having 74th NIRF ranking out of 10,000+ engineering colleges in India. Year by year NIT Raipur is improving it's ranking as well as facilities. It is on 17th position out of 31 NITs all over India and in the 12th position as per the placement records Here in our campus companies like Amazon, Samsung, UHG, Deloitte, Vedanta, RIL, Coal India Limited, etc.used to visit for recruitment. Here, you can explore yourself in many different fields other than studies as it organizes 3 major fests in a year, Entrepreneur Cell organizes E- Submit and like this many more events used to take place here in NIT Raipur.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering program at NIT Raipur covers a wide range of topics, including circuit analysis, power systems, control systems, machines, electronics, and communication. Students also have the opportunity to choose electives in areas of interest, such as renewable energy, power system transients, and embedded systems.

NIT Raipur offers internship opportunities across various disciplines. A lot of companies give internship hear . Students can apply it online.also online internship available for the students. They can do there work from anywhere. I'm in second year so I've not opted for any internship till now

Campus Life :
Almost every facilities and resources are present here but utilisation of it matters. You can grab several opportunities as an intern. Clubs and committee are huge in number and no field of interest remains untouched at NITRR. You can enjoy several Cultural, sports and tech fests throughout the year. Residential hostels are also up to the mark. Free Wi-Fi can be accessed in campus ,mess and hostels. Bike and vehicles are also allowed inside the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose Mechanical Engineering as my course here, as i am interested in Automotive, and also this institute is near my home town. There are permanent faculty members present in institute. All lectures are done in proper classrooms and study materials are also provides digitally. They are very easy to approach and helpful in nature, they help us solving doubts and gives us tips in study.

There is not much placement opportunities for the students of biotechnology compared to the students of b.tech. basically the placement is based on a merit list so not All students are benefited with this kind of placements only the students who wear like gold medalist where awarded this placement. For the the students in the BTech where awarded with better job opportunities and placement.

According to Nirf reports 2023 , 13 ug(3, yr), 123 uh(4yr),1ug (5 yr) ,115pg (2yrs) and 38pg(3yr) students are placed and median package offered is INR 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa, int 4 lpa, inr 3 lpa and inr 2.45 lpa .

Placenta for whole college is going on good not ver best coz of recession but yeah core branches placements are nice specially metallurgy and chemical branch . our branch average package previous year is 8.7 lac and for this year it is 8.3 lack almost all are placed. For cse and IT branch placement is not going well as I said before due to recession . over all.avg pckg of nit raipur is 9.5 lac gor all branch.

If you are from top branches like CSE, IT then you'll numbers of internship oppurtinities but for lower branches the intership oppurtinities are less. Mostly all the student get placed through campus placement but someone left the can try offcampus oppurtinities.

Rungta collage have a good numbers of companies in there list , and most of them visited every year for placements , almost 90% + students got placed every year and the average salary offered is 4 LPA.

From the 5th semester students become eligible for internship and from starting of 4th year companies start on campus recruitment process . Top companies visited Nit Raipur for placements are Google, Adobe, Microsoft, Samsung, Arcisium, Phonepe etc. Highest package offered was 55 lacs per annum. and for IT branch Average package was 18.11 lacs per annum.
