Remarks :
I had to give NEET-UG examination for getting admission in this course. I had visited the college after my examination was over. Until then I didn't have a vivid idea about medical colleges. I was awestruck at the the view of the grand architecture presented before me. From then I started to dream about getting a seat in AIIMS Kalyani and also started doing research about it from various sources. My sources included youtube videos, Google and Quora platforms. Also a close senior of mine helped me in knowing about the environment inside. Admission procedure required appearing at the office with the required documents and a letter from the MCC.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I liked biology as a subject in my school years. Also my mother is a doctor so that kind of made me dream towards this course. The academics in AIIMS Kalyani, to the best of my knowledge, is something that is very focused upon. All the schedules are followed and circulated beforehand so that the students can be prepared for their lectures. Tests were taken timely and results were announced for some but not all the subjects in a periodic manner. Each portion completed had an internal test linked to it after. We had tests of different subjects in the academic year per month. And there are a total of 9 semesters and 4 professional examinations in this 5.5 year course, with 2nd year having 3 semesters( as per AIIMS curriculum) and 1 professional and the other years having 2 semesters and 1 professional each. The feels for the entire 5.5 year course us Rs. 5856 /- (one time) with an additional Rs. 4000/- per month for the mess. The faculty here is well qualified.
Internships Opportunities :
No I have not opted for any internship as our 5.5 year course has a compulsory rotatory internship for 1 year in different departments. Our first batch of the college, that is 2019 batch has started their internship this year with success. 2019 batch has 50 students and all the other have 125. After completion of internship they can give the NEET PG exam for postgraduate courses and placements.
Placement Experience :
We have Junior residents, Senior residents and Non academic Junior residents in various departments. Also our hospital is still expanding with new superspeciality departments being opened. Swats for PG students have been increased from 2024 so we have a lot of PGs. We have 2 PG hostels, one for boys and one for girls and one PG married hostel for accommodation if candidates opt to stay in the campus. Salary is according to the post.
Campus Life :
The life at campus is good providing an elegant scenic beauty pleasing to the eyes with a wide neverending sky making it picture perfect. There is a lot if greenery throughout the campus. As we are a newer AIIMS , we are having our first intercollege fest ELYSSIA, this April, from 7th to 10th. We have a fair share of events and occasions celebrated here representing different cultures and states, organized by the students. We have a house distribution system with an Annual Day celebration every year irrespective of the fest. We have a lot of clubs including sports, dance & drama, literary,quiz & scientific society, art & craft and music. We also have a gym facility and both outdoor and indoor games. Hostel food is fine with different items everyday. We also have canteen facilities incase you don't like the hostel food. Kalyani has a lot of good cafes and places for breaks from this hectic life and even better, Kolkata is just a 1.30 hrs journey by train.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
