- The environment of our college e is very friendly to be adjusted to everyone.
- There are some faculties who teaches with all their spirit.
Dislikes
- Infrastructure is not good at all. Still now our college does not have a good networking system and doesn't have internet connection all over the college, which is a basic feature of engineering collegees
- The curriculum is not a little bit centered to jobs.
Remarks :
I got admission to the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Berhampore by securing a good gank in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination is a state-level entrance examination for obtaining a Graduate degree in Engineering and Pharmacy. People from another state can also appear in this exam.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Our college is affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology formerly known as the West Bengal University of Technology. So all the exams are conducted by the university. The faculties are not too good at teaching us new technologies, however, some teachers teach very well.
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, I do receive a scholarship named Swami Vivekananda Means-Cum Means Scholarship. This is a government scheme by the government of West Bengal, by which the state government helps the financially weak students.
Placement Experience :
The all over placement scenario is not good at all. In this current days, our college is passing through bad times. We all hope that this situation will be changed in one or two years. Currently, our college's placement is being run by a third-party consultancy company.
Campus Life :
Our college has a hostel but I never opted to get into it. I can surely say that campus life helps all of us to bulid a good bond between the senior and junior students of our college. Saraswati Puja and Annual Fest these two events are the biggest through out the year. A reunion between all the ex-students and Present students takes part once every four years. There is also an apolitical students association to help the students if they face any kind of problem on or outside the college campus

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.

Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
