- In terms of infrastructure iem lags to much
- But all the labs are well equipped and everything is being made available for research and a research building has been under process at godrej water side in which iem has inverted 80cr
Dislikes
- There is no campus life in iem Kolkata .
- Hostel timing and hostel guards behaviour isn't appropriate
Remarks :
We have to appear for the WBJEE or IEMJEE exam to take admission to IEM Kolkata for btech. IEM Kolkata provide 100% campus placement with an average salary of 4.5 lpa to 6 lpa depending on your course. One of the most interesting things that I found about this college is that if you didn't get placed in 4th year they will call you next year for campus placement and provide you a job.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Government scholarships and IEM scholarships are being provided. IEM mainly focus on studying and providing a good environment for study only which is one of my reasons for joining this college. Faculty members are good and well-behaved except few. Staff members are cooperative but discipline is one of the main aspects of this college which is maintained by faculty members and HOD. We have to appear for 2 mid-semester sem exams and 1 end sem exam which happens timely and strictly. But paper levels are quite easy and good scores can be easily achieved by focusing in class only. The fee has been increased for the last 2 years but the ROI is good.
Internships Opportunities :
Cognizant and Oracle provide good internship opportunities also few paid internships are provided to the students of 3rd and 4th year students have good academic marks. Some industrial workshops are also being provided.
Placement Experience :
Placement and internships are being provided to everyone. Internship programs can be done off campus also. IEM provides some research labs for drone and robotics learning. Currently, IEM average placement of this year for cse is 6.5-7 lpa.
Campus Life :
There is no campus life in IEM Kolkata there are 4 buildings located at different locations in sector v and the main building UEM is also not that big spread our 5-10 acres in a new town and some research labs are there.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure
Placement Experience :
Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

Placement Experience :
College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
