- The thing I like the most is the teaching way. Our professors are so helpful and kind to us and they guide us for our bright future.
- The second thing I like here is lab works and the library.
Dislikes
- Things I don't like is they conduct only one program yearly.
- And another one would be less field work.
Remarks :
I chose this college because of their job opportunities and well infrastructure.In case of admission we had to fill up a form online given by the university and then they conduct admission in 2 or 3 rounds. Candidates must have persuaded science in 12th standard and the board marks should be above 90%.Then they would prepare a list of deserving candidates and they have to come for admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I wanted to know about our Indian Agriculture system. There is three facilities. Those are Agriculture, Horticulture and Agricultural Engineering. There is 2 semester in a year. Each sem has mid term, end term and practical viva exams. There are many scholarships available for students like svmcm, post matric and also non govt scholarships are available.
Internships Opportunities :
No, still I'm an ug student so I didn't get the chance to do any internship. After my graduation I would definitely like to do an internship from a well known company or university. I'm eagerly waiting for that day.
Placement Experience :
In our University there is a placement cell for students. Students have to enroll their name for placement then they will provide you the best job according to your merit. I am an UG student so I didn't do enrollment for job opportunities. But I have heard from seniors that they provide you good job opportunities.
Campus Life :
There is only one fresher party arranged when new students come to the university. For study purpose,There is a huge library which provides all kinds of books related to our studies.Also many sports are conducted like cricket, football ,etc. There is many hostels for girls and boys separately. Hostel food quality is average. You will get registered in hostel while admission then you have to show the paper to the hostel provost.

Placements are not being offered from our college solely. But internship is being offered in the last 6 months mandatory for the completion of the four year course. The placement thing is solely on you like how capable are you to get into one hospital. But this college has nothing to do with it.

One should not be have any backlogs to sit for campus placements and should keep a decent GPA as many companies puts a cut off GPA. Placements are very decent and almost 70 percentage gets placed many of the others gets into higher studies

Student should not have any Backlog and Minimum 60% throughout academics , those who qualify this criteria they can be part of placement drive. Cognizant - 12 , TCS - 4, Bavistech - 8, Utah Tech Labs - 15. Highest - 9 LPA , Average - 3.5 LPA Around 30% student got placed. I got placed and after getting degree i will join that compnay.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. Placements are for MSc batch only. Last year the highest package was 28LPA from Citi Bank, Gurgaon. Majorly hiring companies that come in FETSU for placements only come to maths dept in SFSU. Packages offered here are based on qualities. It decent.
