- I like the cultural activities. Cultural activities are happened in every program like Saraswathi puja , Vishwakarma puja , teacher's day, fest, farewell etc. I
- Faculties are very helpful and good , professors are pretty good.
Dislikes
- You will not get too much of that campus life.
- The infrastructure and management are not good.
Remarks :
I was admitted admission in this college through the WBJEE counseling process, I have a 9310 rank and I got into the CSE department in the mop-up round in 2022. My main reason to take admission in this college is Locality, I am a resident of Burdwan a local it is easy for me to study, and for my rank, I got the CSE department.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course is good, it follows the AICTE course curriculum. At the start of first, you will get an induction program of 21 days and in this program, you can participate in many extracurricular activities like drawing, Dance, Music, Sports, Yoga etc, it will create a great opportunity for one to meet the new friend and become friends. If I talk about the academy facility it is also good the teachers are friendly and helpful but the syllabus are little bit backdated. Lab facilities are medium like in the first year there is no chemistry lab. All labs exist in this college the conditions of the labs are not pretty good but medium. The exams are a tough little bit but if you follow the lectures and classes daily then it will not affect you that much. All scholarship facilities are available which a government college has.
Internships Opportunities :
You will get many unpaid / paid internship offers from many groups and many technical institutes, average stipend is 5000 to 6000. Many training institute and private institutes also offers some internships.
Placement Experience :
Previous year 25 + companies came to our college. I don't know the exact GPA that is required but I guess it will be above 7 and 8 cgpa, no backlogs are allowed. In pool camp using backlogs is allowed, for further details, you follow the official LinkedIn page of UIt bu placement cell.
Campus Life :
The college does not have a very big college campus, but it is okay , does not accept too much in this category from the college. Due to the lockdown covid and other problems, the Cultural Fest was stopped from the year 2018 but it was started in 2023 in the name of WALTZ, it occurred in May and June. Library facilities are good many books and journals are available in the library. The NSS committee arranges many events like Yoga day etc and an annual sports day every year. Every year an Interdepartmental football and cricket tournament happens. The coding culture and alumni network are okay, two coding clubs exist in this college name CODEBIRD and Coding Junction. Hostel food facilities are okay but food quality is not that good, in the locality, there are good PG facilities are available. But I will suggest for girls a hostel will be the best option. You will get the fees college fees and hostel fees details on the website.

Faculties are well qualified but there is lack of experience teacher as most of the teacher are from local area and the college does not try to bring talent across different region of India. Also college does not have standard process of selection.
My experience at Shri Shikshayatan College
Placement Experience :
We have campus placements in our college. Some of the most famous companies which visit every year is TCS and Cognizant. The salary is very average around 1.5-2 LPA for freshers. You have to maintain a very decent profile with 0 active backlogs to get a job directly via our college placement. There are around 50-100 students who get places every year from our batch via campus placement.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose bcom hons because i was a commerce student in school. The course is well taught in our college. The syllabus is same for all the calcutta university students. The faculty is knowledgeable and well trained. All the teachers are friendly and teach us thoroughly. The classes are held regularly and on time. We had exams every 6 months. Let’s say 1st semester exam will be held after 4-5 months of joining. We had to give internal exams of 20 marks after 4 months of classes which was followed by external examination of 80 marks (nearly 1 month after that). The difficulty level is somewhere around 9/10 for other subjects and 10/10 for accounting and Tax.
Affordable Government Pharmacy Education with Strong Academics but Limited Industry Exposure

Placements at the Institute of Pharmacy Jalpaiguri are not good because their is no in campus placement. Most students pursue higher studies or find jobs off-campus.The average package ranges from ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package can go up to around ?4–5 LPA depending on the company and role. Many students prefer higher studies such as M.Pharm, MBA, or preparation for competitive exams to improve career prospects. After completing my degree, I plan to either pursue higher studies or gain industry experience to build a strong career in the pharmaceutical sector.
My honest opinion on P. G. INSTITUTE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES
Placement Experience :
The placement and internship cell of the college was really bad though. They did give us internship in different hospitals which were unpaid and the offered jobs were for experienced people, not for inexperienced or freshers. Only this side of the college was lacking. Otherwise, good. I had an job opportunity from this college which offered me 10000 a month.
ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY REVIEW
Placement Experience :
There is a good opportunity of placements in AOT as it is a very renowned college for a long time. The previous years placement are ~200%, ~150%, ~90% and for this year too it will be good. The college prepares the students properly for placements through trainings.
Jalpaiguri Institute of technology good collage but fees are high

For computer science student theyare not providing any type of placement in campus but in other department student have any placement opportunity in our collage in every year visit from TCS, APPLO, and many big and small companies

Xavier law school is still in its nascent stage and hence due to this reason only two batches have graduated as of now. the highest package was not that good, and it was average rather and all the students were also not placed. many opted for litigation and higher study.

College don't provides any placement. But this college is little bit famous of our locality areas. If you need job the degree from this college will be valuable. This a downside of our college. I don't think we will face problem for the college degree.
