It is the most reputed law institute in Jammu and kashmir for 3-year law and yes admission criteria are based on Scores of CUET PG after the result of CUET PG is released students have to wait for a notification from the University that they can apply for the admission if they are within cut off limits in my case it was after 1 month of the CUET results there was no interview
I chose this because i wanted to be a lawyer because of my interests the faculty here is highly qualified and is going to help students in every possible way classes are held regularly because syllabus in on par with the latest laws exams held after each semester and are of normal difficulty
Currently, i have not opted for any internship as it was my first year we are still very early for this as we are learning basics about law now in future I will go for it and the department also provides support in this
No campus placement or very minimal placement is offered here I would plan to join a law firm and side by side prepare for judiciary examinations one can also go for litigation after completion of his law degree.
The fee is very low as it is a government institution which is around 14000 per year for the course students may also apply for scholarships if they are from a weaker sections few self-financed seats are also available whose fee is an additional 120000 per year.
Campus life is good fests are organised by the University itself but they are not like other Universities where they invite singers and celebrities but fests like trade fairs Jammu haat all festivals are celebrated there is a big central library called Dhanvantri library accessible to University students for free also there is an individual library in departments it self all sports facilities from the gym to tracks and fields are available
For the hostel we have to give an application to the HOD of our department who will then forward it to the concerned authorities mess is also good there is no menu as such but the management keeps changing the meals on a daily basis and the food is of the good quality hostel is highly affordable in mess there is no monthly subscription you have to pay for each meal you have for 40rs per meal
For placement University conducted job fair for the students where Banks, Private sector industries HR's also visited to take interview and thoroughly conducted the interview and make selection of the deserving students.
Placements in our college are average only, not very high but not zero also. Few companies come every year for campus recruitment, like TCS, Wipro, Infosys and some local construction firms. They mostly offer roles like junior engineer, site supervisor or trainee. Highest package was around 8 LPA for IT profile, average goes between 3-4 LPA. Almost 50-60% students get placed from campus, rest students go for off campus or higher studies. Eligibility for placement is you need minimum 6.5 CGPA and no active backlogs, also they check communication skills in interviews. No big mass recruiters like in IITs, but still some opportunities are there if you prepare well. If not getting placed through campus, I plan to try off campus drives and also thinking to prepare for govt exams or maybe do M.Tech. College do conduct some training sessions and mock interviews but main thing depends on self preparation.
Here almost 95% students got placed.average salary is around 6-7 lpa.Companies like wipro, infuses, bhel visited here.my plan after degree is to do mtech from iits. Highest package is around 45 lakhs (off campus). On campus it is around 25 lpa.
I am always moved by my college’s course curriculum which is multicultural and gives students a wide range of choices. The courses are demanding but the lecturers are always ready to provide support and counsel. It is affordable to all through scholarships and fair fees.
Eligibility criteria for placement depends on the company, majorly all companies asks for minimum CGPA of 7 or 7.5. Some past major companies which comes for recruitment are amazon, sprinklr, paytm, nvidia, ICICI bank, HDFC bank, maruti suzuki etc. According to 2023 data, highest package offered was 53 LPA, average package offered was 18 LPA, minimum package was 5 LPA. Percentage of students get placed in 2023 is 85%. My plans after getting the degree is to either works on corporate or to prepare for UPSC.
quality of teaching is crucial, instructor give their best in the class and class strength is divides in two section according their enrollment number.i think fees is affordable and fees waiver for different category.
The eligibility criteria for the placements of jobs was 65% in the grade card if graduation. The recruitment process was followed by a job examination and job interview. Cipla, SKIMS were some of the recruiters that visited the university and offered almost 15 jobs. The average package offered by the recruiters was 40-70 thousands per month. And the highest package offered by the recruiters was 1.1 Lakh per month. In this recruitment process almost 40% students got placements. I got a private job in a private pharmacy company. Now, I have chosen this job as my carrier after getting the degree.
Decent placement is seen here.Students get placed from semester 7 .TCs,Adobe etc companies comes here to give opportunities for students.Highest package of last year from chemical branch is 13 lakh and median is 7.5 lakh.
There were no job or placement opportunities available and it didn’t bothered the college. The main aim of the students as well included to just pass the degree and get out of there. Faculties also discouraged about the job market scenario outside the college which alleviated the trouble.
Previously there was 100% on campus placement in university but now it's only somewhat 70%. Companies come for placement also they select students but most of time it sells based company not a product based company also they offer quit low packages. Most of students try off Campus Placement where they get some good offers. Average package is about 5-7 lakh
