What is the IIT BHU MTech Admission & Selection Process

Step 1- Registration on the COAP Portal

• The GATE 2024 qualified candidates must register themselves on the COAP process.
• Candidates have to fill out their details viz. Address, Date of Birth, GATE Scores, Academic records including 10th, 12th, and graduation, or any other professional certifications.
• Candidates must choose their preferred institutes for admission. It is important to fill and lock the choices within the specified date to be considered for the further process of selection.

Step 2- Application Form Filling

• Candidates then have to visit the official website of IIT BHU and fill out the specializations that they are targeting for MTech.
• Application fees of INR 500 will be charged by the general candidates/ OBC NCL, while fees of INR 250 for ST/ST/PWD candidates, and no application fee for the female candidates will be charged.

Step 3- Seat Allotment

• After this IIT BHU will call the candidates for a Personal interview, and the final seat allocation will be done based on the candidate's overall performance in GATE 2024 and Personal Interview.
• Along with the interview, candidates will have to take a written test as well.
• Candidates will be able to check the status of their seat allotment, waiting list, and next-round counselling dates on the COAP website.
• The final selection will be based on the consolidated marks of GATE Score, PI & Written test scores.
• The candidates who are offered the admission will be intimated via Email on their registered email address.

As per the official declaration by IIT BHU, it is offering 14 MTech courses with a total seat intake of 504,
