IIIT Una was established in 2014. It is managed by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under the Public Private Partnership (PPP) model. It offers B.Tech. courses in the fields of Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, and Information Technology admission for the courses takes place through the National level entrance exam that is JEE. The exam has been conducted by the NTA.

IIIT Una Eligibility & Selection Criteria

The candidate must have passed 10+2 with PCM subject with a minimum of 50% of marks and the candidates belonging to SC and ST must have 45% of marks.
The candidates who want to get admission through lateral entry must have completed a diploma after matriculation or after 10+2 in the relevant field.
Admission to all the B Tech courses in the college will be held through the JEE examination.
The final ranking will decide the admission of the candidate.
The allocation of the seats of the college will be through the Joint Seat Allocation Authority JoSAA.

The candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/ Institution with 60% marks.
The selection process will be based on the GATE examination scorecard.

Ans. The placement facility of IIIT Una is very good. The college just started in 2014 but still it has a good placement record. In the year 2020, IIIT Una has 100% placement with the highest package of 14LPA. Top companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, etc.

Ques. Is there any waiver of fees at IIIT Una for the general category students?

Ans. Yes, the candidates whose family income is under 8 lac can get a fee waiver. To get the same the candidate has to produce a certificate to the college.

Ques. Can I get IIIT Una with a percentile of 96.3?

Ans. You can go through the cut-off list so that you will have a broad idea about the admission. As per your percentile, you can get the information technology branch.

Ans. The campus of IIIT Una is under construction. Till the campus comes into full operation the IIIT Una is running on the campus of NIT Hamirpur. the students of IIIT Una will get all the facilities that NIT students get.

Nice platform

What I Liked

I have Best hostal life good environment and beautiful place, people
Faculty is very helpful and foot was very Good but security is very tight no one is allowed to go outside room after 10pm Their are cameras every where

What I didn’t like

I dislike about the timings to go outside every if we have to go outside we have to take warden permision in weekends and parents also
The sports fields are very small and college has very low budgets they donot allow their students to participate in other colleges events

Remarks:

I have jee mains and get this college in the josaa counselling and my ece cutoff is around 50000 rank I have prepared fir jee mains exam by doing coaching in kakadeo kanpur by taking gap year and it cost 1 lakh

Song of Students

What I Liked

All the tourist places are nearby so you can travel the wonderful Himachal Pradesh
Hostels are good especially the lifts we use even for a single floor

What I didn’t like

Poor transport connectivity of Una city as well
Main city is 9Km from the campus , so we need to travel if we gonna do some funin city

Remarks:

I was thinking to join TIET and LMIIT but the fee was high also there was no IIIT tag so i choose IIIT Una i was getting CSE in all of them. Admission Process - JEE Mains followed by JOSSA councelling and CSAB.

Indian Institue Of Information Technology Una review

What I Liked

the education system the way professors interact with students.
the relations between students and seniors is also well behaved.

What I didn’t like

the campus are is a bit small as they have limited campus area.
the location of the campus is bit at the ouskirts of the city .

Remarks:

I preffered this college for its well structurd education system . For the admission process no interview will be taken i would be a simple process with a bit of paperwork and you can be easily enrolled in the institute.

Remarks:

The City Una is nearer to Delhi, a good placement and also a hilly area which fascinated me join this college . The admission process for B.tech course is through Jee mains exam which is held twice in a year.

IIIT UNA Review

What I Liked

Infrastructure, campus life, peer groups
the collage has a pretty peaceful environment.

What I didn’t like

the connectivity is pretty bad over here.
the collage is far from the city so no city culture.

Remarks:

the collage is an institute of national importance and is one of the best tech collages in India. I got this collage though Jee exam. the admission depends on the cutoff and your Jee rank. To get this collage u need to opt for josaa counselling.

IIIT UNA pros and cons

What I Liked

it has very peace environment and facilities are very good
the study and study room are available at any time till 12 pm

What I didn’t like

Dislike is that it is 1 km from the small market and no facility for transportation
other dislike is that last entry for gate is 9 p.m. it should be more

Remarks:

the factors that made me to choose this college are 1. the hostel facilities are available and they are almost new hostelas other iiits dont have their own hostels the hire on rent and then give to students

Truth of IIIT Una

What I Liked

Infrastructure and campus life I really enjoys festivals and campus life
Trip with friends, and campus life in winter we enjoyed at canteen

What I didn’t like

Faculties don't have knowledge about their streams they just read the book and teach us
Not supportive facutly they have attitude and behaviour is also very rude

Remarks:

I participated into jossa counselling in which I got the addmission into IIIT Una first student should qualify the jee entrance exam then based on rank they will get addmission into this college , no need of group discussion or written test

IIIT UNA- the truth about the campus.

What I Liked

Hostel life- if you get a good group of friends then your life will be best here otherwise its difficult.
Infrastructure - its 80 acre campus with lush beauty all around. it gas a canteen along with 2 new Nescafé outlets.

What I didn’t like

Faculty- teaching style is not so prominent. You have to depend on Youtube majorly for ur studies.
Campus life- no campus life, only hostel life.

Remarks:

It is the college of National Importance as it is one of the IIIT. This college overs a good placement and internship opportunities along with it, IIITU has signed a MOU with IIT MANDI which also creates it a good choice for me to consider.

IIIT UNA REVIEW

What I Liked

Permanent campus is the best part of IIIT UNA
HOSTEL FACILITIES AND SPORTS FACILITIES .

What I didn’t like

Campus size is small as compared to other colleges.
Events fests organised are not that fancy.

Remarks:

This college has permanent campus and nice hostel facilities. there are 2 badminton courts inseide hostel and mess food is good as compared to other colleges. it also has decent placements stats and nice seniors.

The college is good if you are good too

What I Liked

Infrastructure and campus is quite good
Also Food quality is eatable and good you can rely on it.

What I didn’t like

Too much rules for everything like you have to abide by them strictly
They are charging for washing clothes and it's not good.

Remarks:

I gave jee mains exam and got 49k rank and according to that rank I got ece branch in this Institute as it is a IIIT so I enrolled in this I didn't enrolled in this college because of any interview or anything it was my choice
