Life at amity university mumbai

What I Liked

What I like about my colleges, the infrastructure as most of the colleges in Mumbai are just building or maybe two buildings and they don’t have a great infrastructure. They don’t have area. They don’t have sports facilities and they only focus on academics and results. But this college, I mean, this university, is focusing on all the aspects. As here. The sports facilities are amazing. We have facilities for most of the sports and this campus and the sports facilities are amazing. They inspire many students to be fit and take part in multiple events in every month. we have sports leagues in our campus, like cricket, football, basketball, badminton, chess table, tennis, Coco And many more and the campus life is also amazing. We are allowed to roam till 9 PM from 6 AM as after 9 PM. You have to come inside the hostel and the day scholars have to go out from the campus. Our campus is fully lush, green and completely clean in every , 10 to 15 m we have a trash
If you want to grab good placement and want to do BTech CSE, then I would suggest please come to university Mumbai, and if you are also sports enthusiast and want to follow your dream while being in a college, then also you can come to Amity University Mumbai.

What I didn’t like

Amity has a lot to offer to students, however, as with any institution, there are a few aspects that I believe could be improved upon while I appreciate the opportunities and experiences has provided. I feel that it is associated to highlight certain aspects of the college life that I don’t particularly like one, some of the faculties are very casual. One of the most important factors contributing to the quality of education in any university is the teaching faculty at Amity university, Mumbai. The core faculty members are generally Competent, but a recurring issue I have encountered is the attitude and professionalism of visiting faculty members. While not all of them. There are a few visiting professor who came across as 2 casual in their approach to teaching. I am not talking about casual in the sense of friendly which can be a positive rate in some cases, but more in the sense of unprofessionalism, there are instances where faculties are disorganised arriving late to class
The other problem would be participation in sports tournaments comes at a personal cost. Another aspect of Amity University Mumbai that I find frustrating is the policy regarding sports tournament. As students represent representing the university. You would expect the station to take responsibility for the associated expenses for participating in external sports events. Unfortunately this responsibility for the associated expenses for participating in external sports events. Unfortunately, this is not the case. If you wish to participate in any sports ornaments are required to be the cost yourself. This is an Issue which has been raised by many students and rightfully. Also while understand that some cost and university activities might be passed on to the students. The idea of representing your university in a sports competition should be treated as an institution responsibility. After all when we participate, We are promoting the universities name and values.
The other problem is restricting movement after 9 PM. Another drawback of life at University. Mumbai is a restrictive course of the hostel. Students are not allowed to roam around the campus or leave the premises after 9 PM, which seems unreasonable be particularly for university students who are legally adult adults, while safety is often cited as the reason for this restriction, it feels overly controlling and stiffing call is the time for students to explore socialise and learn to manage their own time and restrictions like these program students from gaining the independence that they need to develop the curfew also impacts the ability of students to participate in extra curricular activities, late night, studies sessions or events that take place after 9 PM, many events, whether academic or cultural at attend to extend beyond 9 PM and students are forced to leave before they can fully participate the inability to move freely within the campus

Placement Experience:

These guys provide hundred percent placement and job opportunities and big companies like IBM Tata Adani Airtel, Capgemini, Infosys and many more come for campus placement Drive so the average placement varies from 4 to 5 lakhs, and the highest has been 33 lakhs so most of the profiles for BTech CSE were a non-tech profiles and the number of tech profiles were bit less this year, so we take example this year Capgemini came and they gave on package of 3 to 4,00,00 for a non-tech employee and give a tech employee, which was a developer position. A package of 6 to 7 lakhs a year. My plans after getting the degree would definitely be grabbing good placement from here so that I can be financially stable and then would be looking for good opportunities after I get placed.

Remarks:

As I was living in Mumbai, so I wanted a college nearby so that I can visit my parents on weekly or maybe monthly basis so I also wanted to take that college which provides a authority of hundred percent placement and has a great past performance placement wise, so I went through Google and other browsers search for best Private engineering colleges in Mumbai and I got Amity Mumbai as a top preference if you want to do BTech CSE in Mumbai and looking for a great placement opportunity as I am also, a sports enthusiast. I also wanted a campus with a great sports infrastructure so that I can continue my fitness journey and continue my career in my favourite sports and Amity has a great infrastructure as well in terms of sports, our studies, spaces and hostels where we live are amazing and affordable And terms of pricing in Mumbai. I was asked my CBSE 12th score and JEE score and how to prepare a one to 2 minute self introduction video for admission in University, Mumbai

Learning Rocket Science (aka Aerospace Engineering) at Amity Mumbai

What I Liked

Campus is big, safe and enjoyable for many students. Infrastructure wise also good.
Faculties are highly qualified and supportive for student ambitions.

What I didn’t like

The bureacracy, the attendance threats, the non-support of department babus to get succesful on own.
Roads to amity are hell. Only drop services are allowed by cabs. Autowalss are available for both pickup and drop.

Placement Experience:

Placements does come here. Amity has policy of min 4.5 Lpa package for companies to come. However, aerospace has no placements due to lack of companies or else non-core engineering roles are offered. Hence, most have to opt for GATE, GRE, connections to secure job.

Remarks:

I wanted to pursue aerospace engineering. However, my rank in JEE-ADV 2021 was not sufficient to fulfil the criteria of pursuing this course in IITS. Amity was in proximity of my house. As I had heard of university (mouth marketing), I thought I should settle for it dueto brand name and closeness to house.

The Amity Truth

What I Liked

College infrastructure with the clasiored bricks, massive football ground
Outstanding cultural fest with 10,000 footfall

What I didn’t like

Cafeteria amd mess food is bit oily and not for north indian people
The outside road is bit too under construction and is not vet comfortable

Placement Experience:

Everyone says that there college doesn't have placement but i guess that's not the case placements are there sometimes students are interested in further studies so they don't apply otherwise average package for my course btech is around 9lakhs for this yr (on campus)

Remarks:

I have heard about this university alot like in school and from cousin's. Like the name amoty is very popular nd accepted outside india. If u r looking for opportunities outside india it is a good option.

A glimpse of AUM

What I Liked

I do like my faculty as well as peers . We get along pretty well.
Campus is good but then the road outside amity isn’t I mean it has random pot holes and puddles and I mean I’m paying 200000 approximately I expect good roads and service.

What I didn’t like

It would probably be the poor management, no big events.
Due to high population of southern Indian and eastern-southerners people often celebrate just their culture and there small small festivals but no such celebrations are there for northern culture

Placement Experience:

They provide 100% placements and job opportunities as well as internships for ug students though I don’t have an internship experience yet. But they provide internships and exchange students programs even outside India.

Remarks:

No I was eligible without interview due my school grades. Though I went to visit the college in person. After reviewing the housing situation and food culture I was asked to pay the fees and so take the admission

Amity pe scamity

What I Liked

The main attraction of university is infrastructure
The food and faculties are quite good and quite fantastic

What I didn’t like

The nightlife outside nearby campus is not that much good
Mainly the issue is it’s placed very outskirts so the travel for day scholars is an issue

Placement Experience:

The placement and jobs opportunities are great the average package is 6.5 LPA and highest till now is 45 LPA the company are great like Amazon kpmg, accenture, capgemimi and the campus team for placement quires are quite approachable and responsible

Remarks:

Mainly the placement scene of amity university is good which made me select it over other different colleges it’s has a average package of 6.5 lpa and highest package recorded is 45 LPA and there many good companies

Amity University Mumbai, A bad choice

What I Liked

No, the campus facilities and infrastructure are not at all the amount of money a student pays.

What I didn’t like

The bad hostel facilities, lack of faculties, bad food, worst location.

Placement Experience:

Worst, the placement cell was bad, they were not at all good at communicating. Many students didn't get a job due to no communication from placement cell. There were very few companies that visited the campus for placements and most of them were not even for our department.

Remarks:

I was going to go to Amity Noida but this was a cheaper option but as it was cheap so were the facilities. There was no admission process, you were supposed to make a video as to why you want to do the course and everyone who did that got the admission.

Amity or scAmity?

What I Liked

Infrastructure is cool. Very large campus but too crowded. That depends on your social Battery. Otherwise overall really fun but you might get carried away and not focus on your course

What I didn’t like

Facilities not that great. The food sucks. It is situated in a remote area which is too far and hectic for those who travel from Mumbai.

Placement Experience:

Placement is mid. Not too great atleast for biotech. The max placement offer for biotechnology is about 6-8LPA not more than that. But CSE and other courses has better placement about 12LPA and more.

Remarks:

During Covid this was a feasible choice. And the scholarship was also a beneficial factor. I had to fill out online application and send a video SOP. No interviews or anything was taken there was direct admissions.

College collegeing.

What I Liked

campus life is good here, even for sports also
infrastructure is also good in this campus.

What I didn’t like

there's nothing as such. Everything are good.
i like everything in the college, there's no such dislike.

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities are very less as compared to other department and other courses. Percentage of students getting placement in this course is comparatively less. After degree i've to apply for jobs and interviews or will opt for higher education.

Remarks:

I took admission here because of the facilities shown in google about this college. Interview was there as time of admission, the management helped throughout the process. Also good team work was provided.

Life at Amity Mumbai

What I Liked

The campus is very aesthetic and peaceful .
It is a huge campus withmany activities and fests throughout the year.

What I didn’t like

The road to the campus is not so good. It is a little away from the main city
There are many friendly dogs in the campus.

Placement Experience:

Any person without a backlog will be able to sit for the placement tests and interview. The average lpa offered is 6.5. the highest offered was 12 this yeah and lowest was 4.5. there is a lot of competition though. but if you do well in your test sthere is a good chance to get it quickly.

Remarks:

I had to submit a SOP video, and later, there was a telephonic interview, which was very easy. I chose this college cause I had full scholarship ,and the college had a good global value, which was very important for my master's studies abroad.

A College that still gives Hope

What I Liked

I like the campus life of this college as it is free for all type of life where one can do anything without any hesitation and the environment is also very friendly
The infrastructure is also solid and the foundations laid are also good. There is ac as well as library on the campus as well as football,tennis, basketball courts also available on the campus. There is also a gym on the campus.

What I didn’t like

I dislike the faculties for some extent as there were a few incidents with faculties on the campus
I dislike the availability of resources in the campus like the library is often packed and the play areas are also full

Placement Experience:

The placement are good with an average of 8L p.a. give to a AI/ML specialisation at 4th year at CapeGemini.The eligibility criteria is 75%attendace.The highest is 16L offered. The placement percentage is 100% with people taking on-shore and off-shore placements with companies like TCS and ACCENTURE

Remarks:

I gave jee where I got a relatively low score hence decided to take this college as it was offering computer science course. There were no interviews for this college or written test for admission neither any group discussion. There was just a simple criteria to get a score above 60% in 12th standard
