Three variables shape entry in 2026: the eligibility norms attached to each programme, the entrance test accepted, and the selection rounds that follow. What each route involves for MBA, undergraduate and doctoral aspirants is explained below.

XIM University MBA Programmes

Specialisations on the MBA side extend to Business Management, Rural Management, Human Resource Management and several others. To be eligible, a candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university, scoring at least 55%. Four stages make up the selection funnel:

  • Entrance Exam: A valid score in XAT, CAT, GMAT, or XGMT, the aptitude test conducted by XIM itself
  • Shortlisting: Exam performance is weighed alongside academic profile and prior work experience
  • Stage 3: Group Discussion paired with a Writing Ability Test (WAT)
  • Stage 4: Personal Interview conducted at the XIM University campus

For General Category aspirants to MBA-BM, CAT and XAT cutoffs have sat in the 90 to 93 percentile band historically. January 30, 2026 saw XGMT 2026 results go live, and interview shortlists for the 2026-28 batch followed in February 2026. A later window applied to MBA-UMG and MBA-PPM, where applications for 2026-28 stayed open until June 30, 2026.

XIM University UG Programmes

Class 12 or an equivalent qualification with an aggregate of at least 60% is the baseline for every undergraduate programme, whether B.Tech, BA, BBA LLB or any of the three-year degrees. Candidates targeting B.Tech-CSE must additionally come from the Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Entrance requirements differ by programme:

XIM University Ph.D Programmes

A Master’s degree carrying 55% marks or better is the entry requirement at doctoral level. Candidates first sit X-RAT (Xavier Research Aptitude Test), after which a presentation and a research interview complete the process. The 2026 edition of X-RAT took place on April 24, 2026, with interviews the next day, April 25, 2026. Doctoral study can be pursued either full-time or part-time.
